POTTERY ACTIVITY

On Thursday, 14 November 2024, the pupils of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten did an outdoor activity called “Pottery” in the Al Siddiq International School compound. This activity was designed to develop children’s creativity and fine motor skills in a fun and educational way. In this activity, the pupils were given a variety of soft clays, which they then shaped and molded using various molding tools. Once molded, their work was left to dry before moving on to the next stage.

After the molded clay had dried, the children were asked to paint their work. This process not only explored colour and art, but also taught students patience and precision. This pottery activity was designed to provide hands-on experience in creating a work of art, which could also improve children’s understanding of texture and shape, while stimulating their hand-eye coordination skills. This activity created an interactive and fun learning space where art and science met to support children’s holistic development.
