As part of the Practical Examination (UPRAK) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, students of Al Siddiq International Junior High School participated in a practical assessment for Physical Education, Sport, and Health (PJOK) in the sport of swimming. The examination was conducted at Graha Kresna Pratama, Bekasi. This activity formed an important part of the student assessment process, focusing on evaluating students’ sporting skills, particularly the fundamental swimming techniques they had learned throughout their studies. In addition to assessing technical ability, the swimming practical examination aimed to foster courage, discipline, sportsmanship, and awareness of the importance of maintaining personal health and safety in aquatic environments. From the early morning, students arrived with enthusiasm and eagerness to participate in the programme. Prior to the examination, participants received a briefing from the Physical Education teacher regarding the examination procedures, safety guidelines, and assessment criteria that would be applied throughout the activity. During the examination, students were assessed on several aspects of swimming performance, including fundamental swimming techniques, movement coordination, physical endurance, and their ability to complete the required distance according to the established standards. All participants took part in an orderly manner and demonstrated their best efforts throughout the assessment. The Physical Education teacher of Al Siddiq International Junior High School explained that the swimming practical examination is not solely intended to measure students’ sporting abilities but also serves as a means of building self-confidence and strengthening students’ mental resilience when facing challenges. “Through this activity, students learn to be courageous in trying new things, improve their abilities, and adopt healthy lifestyle habits that will benefit them in their daily lives,” the teacher stated. The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with enthusiasm, encouragement, and teamwork. Students supported and motivated one another, creating a positive and sportsmanlike environment during the examination. Through the implementation of this Swimming Practical Examination, Al Siddiq International Junior High School hopes to nurture a generation that excels not only academically but also possesses good physical health, valuable life skills, and strong character, enabling them to face future challenges with confidence and resilience.By Retno Suzanne Handayani, Lc, M.Pd
