Pre-Tasmi Activity: The First Step Towards Tasmi

The Pre-Tasmi activity is an important component of the Qur’an learning programme at Al Siddiq International Kindergarten. It is designed as a preparatory stage before children take part in the actual tasmi and munaqosyah. Through Pre-Tasmi, teachers are able to assess children’s readiness in memorisation while also providing them with an initial experience in a more structured assessment setting. This activity was attended by pupils of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten who had reached the qualification of memorising Juz 30, starting from Surah An-Nas to Al-Muthaffifin. Each child participating in the Pre-Tasmi had undergone a gradual process of learning and revision (murojaah), equipping them with sufficient memorisation to present before the examiner. The Pre-Tasmi was conducted in a specially prepared tasmi room to ensure a conducive and focused atmosphere. With a calm and well-organised setting, children were able to concentrate better when reciting their memorisation. This supportive environment also helped them feel more confident and comfortable throughout the activity. The activity took place over four days, from Monday to Thursday, 6th to 9th April 2026. Each day, children followed a predetermined schedule, ensuring that the process ran smoothly and that every participant was given an equal opportunity to perform. The purpose of the Pre-Tasmi activity is to familiarise children with performing in front of others while demonstrating the extent of their memorisation ability. In addition, it serves as an initial evaluation tool for teachers to determine children’s readiness before they undertake the actual tasmi and munaqosyah. Through this activity, children are trained to build confidence and reduce nervousness when performing. In its implementation, teachers arranged a structured Pre-Tasmi schedule for each child. Every pupil was assigned different surah limits according to their memorisation ability and was assessed by different examiners. This system supports a more objective and comprehensive evaluation. With a well-planned approach, the Pre-Tasmi activity is expected to run smoothly and provide a meaningful learning experience for every child.By Inka Amalia, S. Pd

Mid-Semester Assessment: Measuring the Development of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten Pupils in an Enjoyable Way

The Mid-Semester Assessment is a periodic evaluation activity conducted to observe children’s learning development. This activity plays an important role in the educational process, particularly at the kindergarten level, as it helps teachers understand how far children’s abilities have progressed after participating in learning over a period of time. This Mid-Semester Assessment was attended by all pupils of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten. Each child participated according to their individual abilities and developmental stage. Teachers acted as facilitators, providing guidance while creating a comfortable atmosphere so that children felt happy throughout the assessment process. The assessment was carried out in the classroom, allowing children to remain in a familiar and secure environment. A well-known classroom setting helped the children feel more confident in taking part in each assessment activity. In addition, the classroom arrangement was adapted to support the various activities conducted during the assessment. The Mid-Semester Assessment was conducted over five days, from Monday to Friday, 6th to 10th April 2026. Each day, children took part in scheduled assessment activities, ensuring that all areas of learning were covered in a balanced way without causing the children to feel overwhelmed. The purpose of this quarterly assessment is to monitor students’ development across six key areas: religious and moral values, social-emotional development, language, cognitive skills, physical-motor development, and the arts. Through this assessment, teachers are able to identify each child’s strengths and needs, enabling them to provide appropriate stimulation to support optimal growth and development. The assessment was implemented using a variety of enjoyable methods aligned with children’s world of learning. Each day, the children engaged in different subjects such as literacy, science, mathematics, art, physical education, ICT, the Qur’an, and Arabic. The forms of assessment also varied, ranging from answering simple questions and completing worksheets to producing creative work such as drawings or small projects. In this way, children continued to feel as though they were playing while learning, ensuring that the assessment process remained smooth, meaningful, and enjoyable.By Inka Amalia, S. Pd

Sharpening Precision and Readiness: TO2 TKA Builds Students’ Confidence

Bekasi, 2 April 2026 — A serious yet enthusiastic atmosphere was evident in the Computer Laboratory of Al Siddiq International School during the implementation of the second Try Out of the Academic Competency Test (TO2 TKA). This activity was attended by Year 9 male and female students as part of a systematic effort to prepare themselves for the actual examination. The TO2 TKA was conducted in an orderly manner under the direct supervision of the Principal, Mr Amal Dzikrullah, S.Pd., M.Pd. His presence not only ensured the smooth running of the activity but also served as tangible support for the students as they faced an important stage in their academic journey. The subjects tested in this TO2 TKA included Bahasa Indonesia and Mathematics—two fundamental areas that serve as key indicators of students’ academic ability. From the outset, participants appeared focused and committed as they worked through each question, making careful and measured use of their time. This try-out was not merely a practice session, but also a means of reflection for students to assess their level of readiness. Through this activity, students learned to recognise their strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to develop more effective and targeted study strategies. On the other hand, the TO2 TKA also trained essential skills such as time management, speed, and accuracy in answering questions. Under the pressure of limited time, students were required to remain calm, focused, and think clearly—abilities that are crucial for success in the actual examination. Beyond academic achievement, this activity also helped to build students’ mental resilience. They were trained to face challenges with confidence, manage anxiety, and maintain concentration in competitive situations. Thus, the readiness developed was not only academic but also psychological. Through the implementation of TO2 TKA, it is hoped that Year 9 students will become more mature in developing strategies, better prepared for their final examinations, and able to demonstrate their full potential. The enthusiasm and dedication shown throughout the activity reflect a strong determination to achieve optimal results in the future.By : Retno Suzanne Handayani,Lc. M.Pd

The atmosphere throughout the programme was warm, cheerful, and became a memorable new experience for the children. This mabit (overnight stay) activity aimed to introduce children to the experience of worship during the month of Ramadan from an early age in a joyful and meaningful way. Through this activity, the children were encouraged to learn independence, strengthen their sense of togetherness with friends, and develop good habits such as praying, maintaining personal hygiene, and performing acts of worship together. In addition, the presentation of Ramadan competition prizes served as a form of appreciation for the students who had enthusiastically participated in various competitions throughout the month of Ramadan. After the communal iftar programme had concluded and the parents had taken their leave, the children continued the mabit activities by performing the Tarawih prayer in congregation at the school. Afterwards, before bedtime, the children were allowed to enjoy additional snacks that they had brought from home. This moment made the atmosphere even warmer and more enjoyable, as the children shared stories and spent time together with their classmates. As bedtime approached, the children prepared themselves by brushing their teeth and changing into their nightwear. They then recited the bedtime prayer together. Some classes also held a short bedtime storytelling session led by the teachers, allowing the children to rest calmly and comfortably. The night was then spent resting until it was time to wake up for sahur. At 3.30 a.m., the children were awakened to prepare for sahur. They were encouraged to use the bathroom and wash their faces so they could feel refreshed before having the pre-dawn meal together. After the Fajr prayer, the children brushed their teeth again and continued the morning activities with light exercises in the school area. This activity was intended to refresh their bodies after waking up early and to create a cheerful atmosphere. The programme then continued with the presentation of prizes for the Ramadan competitions to the participating students.
