SD Al Siddiq International Holds Flannel Keychain-Making Activity Together

SD Al Siddiq International held a flannel keychain-making activity on 27 October 2025. The activity was attended by all pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 and took place in their respective classrooms. For this activity, the keychain designs had been prepared in advance by the teachers, so pupils only needed to sew together the pre-cut flannel pieces. The children appeared enthusiastic as they followed the teachers’ instructions, threaded the needle, and stitched the simple patterns until they formed neat keychains ready to take home. Although the designs were predetermined, the activity still offered many benefits for the pupils. Their fine motor skills were developed through the sewing process, which requires strong hand coordination and concentration. In addition, the activity helped nurture patience and attention to detail, as the children had to follow the stitching sequence correctly to achieve tidy results. The pupils’ confidence also grew as they successfully completed their own handmade flannel keychains. The sewing process further trained independence, focus, and the ability to follow instructions effectively. 7th Graders of SMP Al-Siddiq International Experiment with Homemade Water Filters and Write Procedure Texts

On Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, the 7th-grade students of SMP Al-Siddiq International participated in an engaging and hands-on learning activity. During their Indonesian Language class, they learned how to write procedure texts using the Bahasa Indonesia Grade 7 textbook from the Merdeka Curriculum.The session was guided by their Indonesian Language teacher, Miss Wafda Nurul Imani, S.Pd., who explained the structure of a proper procedure text—including its purpose, required materials, and step-by-step instructions.To deepen their understanding, the students carried out an experiment by making a homemade water filtration device, allowing them to combine practical activities with writing tasks.Students created the water filter using a recycled plastic bottle. They cut off the bottom of the bottle, flipped it upside down, and placed several filtration layers inside: cotton, soil and sand, and gravel. Water was poured through the top opening—the cut end of the bottle—so the students could observe how each layer helped filter out impurities.Through this activity, the students not only practiced writing procedure texts according to Indonesian language rules but also learned basic scientific principles about filtration.By Umair Shoddiq, S.I.Kom

Sunshine, Rice Fields, and Children’s Smiles

On Thursday, 13 November 2025, TK Al Siddiq International carried out an Educational Field Trip (EFT) to Scientia Square Park (SQP) in Tangerang. This activity became one of the key moments in the early childhood learning process, where the children were invited to learn directly outside the classroom through real and enjoyable experiences. The field trip served not only as an educational activity, but also as an opportunity for exploration, social interaction, and character development. From as early as 07.00 WIB, the children had gathered at the departure point, Bella Vista. The activity began with initial documentation, a warm welcome from the Head of School, and a collective prayer for a smooth and blessed journey. During the trip to Scientia Square Park, the children did not simply sit quietly; instead, they filled the time by reciting murojaah together, allowing the activity to remain Islamic in atmosphere and full of meaning. Upon arrival, the children continued with further documentation, put on wristband tickets as identification, and were guided to organise their belongings. All students were then divided into two large groups to ensure the activities ran in a more orderly and structured manner. Each group took part in the same series of activities in different sequences. The programme began with an introduction to various types of birds and chickens, followed by observing unique animals such as alpacas. Direct interaction with these animals aimed to foster a sense of love for living creatures as well as developing empathy and courage. Next, the children participated in rice pounding and rice planting activities in the mini paddy field provided in SQP’s agricultural education area. The rice-pounding activity was intended to introduce the traditional process of preparing a staple food, as well as instilling appreciation for the food they consume every day. Meanwhile, planting rice gave them first-hand experience of the origins of food and the importance of caring for plants. By stepping directly into the paddy field, the children learned about responsibility, patience, and the natural cycle in a concrete way. The day concluded with a water-play session, which served as both recreation and a refreshing break after the entire series of educational activities. After cleaning up and changing clothes, the children prepared for the journey home. This EFT left a lasting impression on the children, teachers, and parents. It was not merely a trip, but an experience filled with meaningful educational value. Exciting Experiments with Einstein! Science Day

By:SD Al Siddiq International, in collaboration with Einstein, successfully held the event “Science Day: One Day with Einstein” on Friday, 12 November 2025. The programme ran from 07.00 to 13.00 WIB and was enthusiastically attended by all students from Years 1 to 6. This collaboration offered a more engaging and interactive science learning experience. During the event, students enjoyed an educational science show presented by the Einstein team. Various scientific phenomena were demonstrated in simple, easy-to-understand ways, sparking students’ interest and curiosity to try the experiments themselves. The children also took part in a series of exciting and safe experiments guided by the school’s science team and the Einstein team. The experiments included simple reactions, light-based activities, and exploratory tasks that remained safe while stimulating students’ curiosity. The programme continued with a lab tour, allowing students to explore various scientific tools. With guidance from the Einstein team, students were introduced to the functions of microscopes, test tubes, measuring instruments, and other laboratory equipment. This experience provided them with a real insight into scientific processes. The next session featured an introduction to telescopes. The children had the opportunity to understand how a telescope works and try observing celestial objects. This became a particularly memorable moment as students experienced direct observation. One of the most eagerly awaited activities was the water-rocket launch, carried out together with the Einstein team. Students worked in groups to prepare their rockets before launching them into the air. Cheers of excitement filled the field as the rockets soared high. To conclude the event, students created simple prototypes using the materials provided. This activity strengthened their creativity and problem-solving skills while introducing basic engineering concepts. With this series of collaborative activities, Science Day: One Day with Einstein successfully provided a meaningful and memorable learning experience for all students. Measuring Clarity: Al-Siddiq International Middle School Students Learn Water pH Testing During ESNO 2025

The morning air in the main hall of Pondok Pesantren Umar Bin Khottob Plus, Gunung Malang, still carried the chill of the highlands. At exactly 7:30 a.m., dozens of students from Al-Siddiq International Middle School sat in a semicircle, each holding a bottle filled with water collected from Mata Air Ciburial—a spring they confidently described as clearer than branded bottled water. Amid the bustle of the Educational Students Night Out (ESNO) 2025, science class took an unusual shape. Instead of desks and whiteboards, students attended a presentation on water pH testing delivered by their Science teacher, Mr. Muhammad Fathul Ihsan, M.Res. With a calm but firm tone, he began with a disarming question: “If water looks clear, does that always mean it’s safe?” A low murmur swept across the room—curiosity awakened. Mr. Ihsan explained the fundamentals of pH, how acidity and alkalinity determine water’s potability, and how natural springs can still carry unseen contaminants. He demonstrated color changes in pH indicators, weaving scientific principles with everyday examples. The session was concise, visual, and sharply focused—Tempo-style clarity in a classroom setting. Holding up the Ciburial sample, he reminded them, “Clarity doesn’t guarantee purity. Science helps us see what the eye cannot.” Students inspected their water samples—comparing clarity, hue, and scent—turning the hall into an impromptu open-air laboratory. Although full testing would take place once they returned from ESNO, excitement was already visible. Each student would later conduct their own pH measurement back at school, using universal indicators or simple pH meters. The follow-up activity was designed not just for observation, but for students to experience the scientific process firsthand. Outside the hall, the noise of ESNO continued. Small, Medium, Large! TK B Pupils Learn to Sequence with Joy

On Tuesday, 11 November 2025, the children of TK B at Al Siddiq International took part in a simple yet highly meaningful learning activity: arranging objects from smallest to largest. The activity took place in the Science and Maths classroom, which had been set up with a cheerful atmosphere and engaging visual aids. Although it may have looked like an ordinary game, this activity was designed to build the foundation of logical thinking, mathematics, and cognitive skills for young children. The main purpose of the activity was to introduce the concepts of sequencing, size, and comparing objects based on specific characteristics—in this case, size. For kindergarten pupils, the ability to sequence is an important part of developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills. The children learned that objects can be classified and arranged, and that everything has patterns and structure. This serves as a foundation for more complex mathematical understanding in the future. During the session, the teacher began by observing the children’s ability to add and count using LEGO blocks. This was intended to gauge their basic understanding of numbers and quantities. Meanwhile, while waiting for their turn, the children worked on an equally exciting worksheet prepared by the teacher: sequencing pictures of objects from small to large. Excitedly, the children picked up each picture—ranging from cars to syringes—and tried to arrange them in the correct order. Some understood straight away, while others engaged in small discussions with friends or asked the teacher for guidance. This activity also strengthened their social skills, such as cooperation, taking turns, and expressing their opinions confidently. The activity concluded with a brief reflection led by the teacher, who praised the children for their efforts and summarised the benefits of what they had learned. The children looked proud of their work, and the classroom atmosphere was filled with the spirit of learning. SD Al Siddiq International Conducts Hero’s Day 2025 PJBL Activit

On Tuesday, 11 November 2025, SD Al Siddiq International carried out a Project-Based Learning (PJBL) activity to commemorate Hero’s Day, which is observed annually on 10 November. The activity was designed to instil the values of patriotism and to help students better understand the struggles of the nation’s heroes through enjoyable and creative tasks. All students from Year 1 to Year 6 took part in this programme. Through the PJBL approach, students not only received information but also engaged actively in a process of creating work that reflected their understanding of heroic values. This served as an opportunity for the school to strengthen students’ character through project-based learning. For students in Years 3 to 6, the activity focused on a project to draw national heroes. They were given the opportunity to choose their favourite hero, such as Cut Nyak Dien, R.A. Kartini, General Sudirman, Bung Tomo, and others. After learning more about their chosen figure, students expressed their inspiration by creating artwork that depicted the heroic character of the hero. Meanwhile, students in Years 1 and 2 took part in colouring and decorating hero-themed pictures. This activity was adapted to the developmental abilities of younger children, allowing them to express their creativity through bright colours, stickers, glitter, and other decorative elements. Teachers also shared short stories about the heroes they were colouring, enabling the activity to build basic historical knowledge in an engaging way. The Hero’s Day PJBL activity was carried out with great enthusiasm. Classrooms and school areas were filled with lively scenes of students working diligently, discussing with teachers, and striving to produce their best work. The students’ creations were then displayed around the school as a form of appreciation and as inspiration for the wider school community. Through this activity, SD Al Siddiq International hopes to instil the values of heroism and a love for the nation from an early age. ESNO and Field Trip 2025: Exploring History, Nature, and Character Building with SMP Al-Siddiq International

SMP Al-Siddiq International successfully held its annual ESNO (Educational Students Night Out) and Field Trip 2025 on 12–13 November 2025, providing students with meaningful educational experiences and valuable character development. At 6:00 AM, students gathered at Bellavista for departure preparation. Before leaving, they received motivational advice from the Principal, Mr. Yusuf Yudhana, S.Pd., followed by a prayer session led by the Committee Chairman and Qur’an Teacher, Ust. Ahmad Toha, M.Ag. At 7:00 AM, two buses—separated for male (Ikhwan) and female (Akhwat) students—departed for the first destination: PETA Museum, located in Central Bogor. Here, students learned about the history of PETA (Defenders of the Homeland), a military force established during the Japanese occupation (1942–1945) that later became the foundation of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). They also explored the stories of National Heroes such as General Soedirman, Seoprijadi, General Ahmad Yani, and the 2nd President of Indonesia, Soeharto.Students were also fascinated by the authentic World War II weapons displayed at the museum. The journey continued to a completely different setting: Pondok Pesantren Umar Bin Khottob Plus, located at the foot of Mount Salak, in Gunung Malang Village, Tenjolaya, Bogor Regency. Upon arrival, Mr. Umair Shoddiq, S.I.Kom, as the Event Coordinator, briefed students on rules, manners, cleanliness, and personal safety. For two days and one night, students participated in various character-building activities, including leadership, teamwork, social empathy, environmental awareness, and strengthening their motivation for learning. The refreshing natural scenery—along with the presence of tame deer and wild monkeys leaping among the trees—added joy to their experience. Students also visited the crystal-clear Ciburial Spring, known for its purity and drinkable water. After the evening prayer, Mr. Muhammad Fathul Ihsan, M.Res., the Science Teacher, presented a demonstration on testing water pH. The program continued with the Night Tracking (Jurit Malam) activity, where groups explored the surrounding area and visited four checkpoints supervised by teachers and Scouts. Each checkpoint offered different educational games and challenges. Students then returned to the lodge and enjoyed a warm bowl of meatball soup specially prepared by Ustadzah Diah Santikawati, S.Pd.I., and Ustadzah Mila Febri Wahyuni, Lc. Late at night, students were instructed to rest. The next morning began with group exercise led by Ustadz Abdul Aziz, S.Pd. Afterward, students enjoyed a delicious lunch of grilled tilapia, sautéed mushrooms, and sambal matah, followed by the Dzuhur prayer in congregation. The event officially concluded with the recitation of hamdallah led by Mr. Yusuf, accompanied by instructions for students to clean the area before departure. At 1:00 PM, the two buses carrying all participants departed safely back to Bekasi City. Grade 9 Students of Al-Siddiq International Junior High Learn to Gather Information and Opinions Through Interviews

On Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, the Grade 9 students of Al-Siddiq International Junior High carried out a project-based learning activity focused on collecting information and opinions through interviews. The session began at 8:00 a.m. and was guided by Mr. Umair Shoddiq, S.I.Kom. The lesson was based on the Global Perspective – Learner’s Skill Book 9 published by Cambridge University Press, which encourages students to develop critical thinking and communication skills. During the session, students learned how to create open-ended questions to explore others’ opinions and viewpoints. Some of the key questions included: “Is this suitable for Indonesian culture? Why?” “What is your opinion about this?” As a starting point, students watched a documentary video about a unique community abroad. Afterwards, each student conducted interviews with at least five classmates and documented their responses. Little Chefs at Al Siddiq Kindergarten: Learning from Their Own Classroom Kitchen

On Thursday, 30 October 2025, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten held an exciting cooking class activity involving all students in their respective classrooms. The activity carried the theme of “Making Simple Sushi” using child-friendly and safe ingredients. Each classroom became the main venue for the event, allowing children to feel comfortable and focused in their familiar learning environment. The cooking class was a much-anticipated moment, offering both fun and educational hands-on experiences for the children. As usual, the day began with the regular morning routine: line up, circle time, shalat dhuha, and snack time. Afterwards, teachers began preparing everything needed for the cooking class. The tables were arranged into small groups, each equipped with tools and ingredients such as nori, rice, sausage, crab sticks, cheese, carrots, and zucchini. Every child wore an apron and plastic gloves to ensure cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cooking process. The children were then guided to take a portion of rice and spread it over the nori, adding fillings such as sausage, crab stick, cheese, carrot, and zucchini according to their own preferences. Once all the ingredients were arranged, they carefully learned how to roll the sushi. Some children enthusiastically tried to roll it on their own, while others asked for help from their teachers. After rolling, the teachers assisted them in cutting the sushi into small bite-sized pieces, ready to be enjoyed together. This activity was designed not merely for fun but also to support the six aspects of early childhood development: The cooking class provided a joyful, direct, and meaningful way for children to learn. They not only gained new practical skills but also developed discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence in trying new things. This activity proved that cooking can be a holistic and enjoyable medium of learning for young children. SD Al Siddiq International is enthusiastically preparing to take part in the 18th International Kangaroo Science Contest (IKSC) 2025 — a prestigious science competition that has become a global benchmark for schools committed to developing students’ scientific literacy and critical thinking skills. The contest is organised by Klinik Pendidikan MIPA (KPM), the official host in Indonesia, and is part of an international science competition network participated in by students from various countries around the world. Through this event, SD Al Siddiq International continues to strengthen its commitment to providing a learning environment rich in high-quality academic experiences, while fostering students’ love for science and scientific exploration from an early age. The IKSC is well known for its intellectually challenging questions that emphasise scientific exploration, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. In the previous year, the competition recorded an impressive total of 62,655 participants from across Indonesia — a clear indication that students’ interest in science and research continues to grow. For SD Al Siddiq International students, this opportunity serves as a valuable platform to enhance analytical skills, broaden scientific understanding, and build confidence in competing at both national and international levels. SMP Al-Siddiq International Holds Market Day with International Cross-Cultural Theme

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, SMP Al-Siddiq International held a lively Market Day event with the theme “International Cross-Cultural Celebration.” The event took place from 08.00 to 10.40 a.m. at the Al-Siddiq International School sports field. Students were divided into various groups, each representing a different cultural region or country, including the Middle East, Turkey, Sumatra, Java, Sunda, Bali, France, Italy, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. Each group creatively decorated their stalls and sold unique items that reflected their chosen culture. The event began with an opening speech from Mr. Yusuf Yudhana, S.Pd., the school principal, followed by a Qur’an recitation (tilawah) by Muhammad Kautsar Mehaga Perangin-angin. Afterward, students enthusiastically started selling a wide range of foods, drinks, decorations, toys, and merchandise, all themed according to their assigned region or country. To attract visitors, the students wore traditional costumes and decorated their stalls with cultural ornaments and symbols. The vibrant and colorful atmosphere successfully captured the spirit of diversity and creativity. During the event, each group was evaluated by two judges—Miss Pravitasari, S.Psi., M.Ag., and Mr. Ginanjar Citra Cimarga, M.Pd.—who assessed their performance based on creativity, teamwork, presentation, and entrepreneurial spirit. Through this event, students not only practiced entrepreneurship, but also developed valuable skills such as creativity, teamwork, discipline, and communication in English.
