Click, Shape, and Build a House! Learning ICT Made Fun!

On Thursday, 6 November 2025, the TK B pupils of Al Siddiq International took part in an engaging ICT learning activity held in the school’s computer lab. This session focused on using the Paint application, a simple digital drawing programme designed to introduce young children to technology while nurturing their creativity. In this lesson, the children were guided to create a picture of a house using the shape features available in Paint. This activity not only trained basic computer skills but also introduced geometric concepts such as squares, triangles, and circles. The children learned to recognise and combine these shapes to create a simple house illustration, complete with a roof, door, and windows. Before starting their drawings, the children were guided to turn on the computer independently by pressing the power button on the CPU. Once the computer was on, they were taught how to open Paint by clicking the search icon and typing “Paint” in the search bar. After the application opened, the teacher gave easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. The children appeared enthusiastic as they followed the teacher’s guidance, from selecting shapes and changing colours to arranging the shapes into a house. This process not only strengthened their fine motor skills through the use of the mouse but also built confidence in using digital devices. Teachers also encouraged the children to be creative by adding extra elements such as the sun or trees if they wished. The main aim of this activity was to introduce technology positively from an early age and to develop the children’s visual creativity through digital media. By using the shape features in Paint, the children learned to think systematically—how to combine individual parts into a meaningful whole. In addition, they practised following instructions, completing tasks, and feeling proud of their own creations. Exciting Profession Class at SD Al Siddiq International with the Indonesian Post Office

SD Al Siddiq International once again held its Profession Class activity, this time featuring representatives from Pos Indonesia. The event was warmly welcomed by all pupils, as they had the opportunity to learn directly from postal officers about the various services and activities carried out at the post office. The Pos Indonesia team not only provided explanations but also brought an operational postal vehicle to the school grounds. The children were visibly excited to see the inside of the vehicle and to listen to explanations about how letters are collected, sorted, and dispatched to various regions across Indonesia. In addition to gaining new insights, the pupils also practised writing their own personal letters. These letters would be posted using special stamps featuring each child’s photo, making the experience even more unique and memorable. The children looked proud as they placed their personalised stamps onto the envelopes before handing them over to the postal officers. Through this activity, the pupils of SD Al Siddiq International not only gained a closer understanding of the postal profession but also learned about the importance of written communication and the process of sending letters—an experience they rarely encounter firsthand today. The Profession Class activity ran smoothly, joyfully, and meaningfully. Parent Study Session at SMP Al-Siddiq International: “The Stages of Raising Children: The Example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, SMP Al-Siddiq International held a Parent Study Session at the Al-Siddiq International School Mosque. The event, which started at 10:00 AM (WIB), carried the theme “The Stages of Raising Children: The Example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”, presented by Ustadz Abdullah Haris, Lc., M.Pd., who serves as the school’s Islamic advisor. The session began with a Qur’an recitation led by Ustadz Abdul Aziz, S.Pd., followed by an opening speech from the School Director, Mr. Ginanjar Citra Cimarga, M.Pd. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude to the attending parents and highlighted the importance of parental roles in applying the Prophet’s educational example at home. During the session, Ustadz Abdullah Haris explained the essential stages of child education based on Islamic values and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He emphasized that educating children is a shared responsibility between parents and the school. The event was filled with enthusiasm and reflection from the parents who attended. How Exciting—Eggs Can Sink, Float in the Middle, and Rise to the Surface!

On Monday and Tuesday, 3–4 November 2025, the TK B pupils of Al Siddiq International took part in an exciting activity in their science class: an experiment investigating how eggs can sink, float in the middle, or rise to the surface. This activity was specially designed to introduce simple science concepts through hands-on experiences that are enjoyable and easy for young children to understand. The experiment was guided directly by the class teachers. The activity began with an introduction, during which the teacher greeted the children and explained that they would be conducting a fun experiment using water, salt, and eggs. The children looked enthusiastic and curious, as this was a brand-new experience for them. Step by step, the teacher demonstrated the experiment process. Three glasses were prepared, each filled with water and a different amount of salt: one with a small amount of salt, one with a moderate amount, and another with a large amount. After that, an egg was placed into each glass one by one. The results amazed the children. The egg in the glass with a small amount of salt sank to the bottom. The egg in the glass with a moderate amount of salt floated in the middle of the water, while the egg in the glass with a high amount of salt rose to the surface. This became an exciting moment that sparked the children’s curiosity about how water and salt can affect objects placed in it. The aim of this experiment was to introduce basic scientific concepts such as density and buoyancy in a concrete and enjoyable way. Through this activity, the children learned that objects may sink or float depending on the density of the liquid surrounding them. They also practised observing, comparing, and drawing simple conclusions from the results. This activity not only enriched the children’s scientific knowledge but also helped develop critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills. SD Al Siddiq conducted the Headteacher Performance Appraisal (PKKS) with School Supervisors

SD Al Siddiq conducted the Headteacher Performance Appraisal (PKKS) on Monday, 3 November 2025, as part of its annual agenda aimed at evaluating and improving the school’s managerial quality. The activity was attended and led by two school supervisors from the Bekasi City Education Office, Mr Bambang Saryono, M.Pd., and Mr Sardiyo, S.Pd., M.Pd. The PKKS aims to assess the headteacher’s performance in carrying out duties and responsibilities in the areas of managerial leadership and academic supervision. Through this evaluation, the school hopes to continuously enhance the quality of its educational services, teaching and learning processes, and the professional and sustainable management of resources. During the implementation, Mr Bambang Saryono conducted interviews, observations, and direct assessments with the Head of SD Al Siddiq International, discussing various aspects of school management—from planning and programme implementation to follow-up actions for school quality development. Meanwhile, Mr Sardiyo held discussions with teacher representatives—Ms Dara, Ms Lulu, Ms Jasmine, and Ms Nabila—to gather information related to teaching practices, academic supervision, and classroom innovation. All activities ran in an orderly, smooth, and warm atmosphere. The teachers and headteacher demonstrated readiness and openness in providing information about the good practices carried out at SD Al Siddiq International, including efforts to build a positive school culture focused on meaningful learning for students. Through this PKKS implementation, SD Al Siddiq International reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving the quality of education, as well as the professionalism of its teaching and non-teaching staff. Grade 9 Students of Al-Siddiq International Junior High Learn to Gather Information and Opinions Through Interviews

On Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, the Grade 9 students of Al-Siddiq International Junior High carried out a project-based learning activity focused on collecting information and opinions through interviews. The session began at 8:00 a.m. and was guided by Mr. Umair Shoddiq, S.I.Kom. The lesson was based on the Global Perspective – Learner’s Skill Book 9 published by Cambridge University Press, which encourages students to develop critical thinking and communication skills. During the session, students learned how to create open-ended questions to explore others’ opinions and viewpoints. Some of the key questions included: “Is this suitable for Indonesian culture? Why?” “What is your opinion about this?” As a starting point, students watched a documentary video about a unique community abroad. Afterwards, each student conducted interviews with at least five classmates and documented their responses. Little Chefs at Al Siddiq Kindergarten: Learning from Their Own Classroom Kitchen

On Thursday, 30 October 2025, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten held an exciting cooking class activity involving all students in their respective classrooms. The activity carried the theme of “Making Simple Sushi” using child-friendly and safe ingredients. Each classroom became the main venue for the event, allowing children to feel comfortable and focused in their familiar learning environment. The cooking class was a much-anticipated moment, offering both fun and educational hands-on experiences for the children. As usual, the day began with the regular morning routine: line up, circle time, shalat dhuha, and snack time. Afterwards, teachers began preparing everything needed for the cooking class. The tables were arranged into small groups, each equipped with tools and ingredients such as nori, rice, sausage, crab sticks, cheese, carrots, and zucchini. Every child wore an apron and plastic gloves to ensure cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cooking process. The children were then guided to take a portion of rice and spread it over the nori, adding fillings such as sausage, crab stick, cheese, carrot, and zucchini according to their own preferences. Once all the ingredients were arranged, they carefully learned how to roll the sushi. Some children enthusiastically tried to roll it on their own, while others asked for help from their teachers. After rolling, the teachers assisted them in cutting the sushi into small bite-sized pieces, ready to be enjoyed together. This activity was designed not merely for fun but also to support the six aspects of early childhood development: The cooking class provided a joyful, direct, and meaningful way for children to learn. They not only gained new practical skills but also developed discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence in trying new things. This activity proved that cooking can be a holistic and enjoyable medium of learning for young children. SD Al Siddiq International is enthusiastically preparing to take part in the 18th International Kangaroo Science Contest (IKSC) 2025 — a prestigious science competition that has become a global benchmark for schools committed to developing students’ scientific literacy and critical thinking skills. The contest is organised by Klinik Pendidikan MIPA (KPM), the official host in Indonesia, and is part of an international science competition network participated in by students from various countries around the world. Through this event, SD Al Siddiq International continues to strengthen its commitment to providing a learning environment rich in high-quality academic experiences, while fostering students’ love for science and scientific exploration from an early age. The IKSC is well known for its intellectually challenging questions that emphasise scientific exploration, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. In the previous year, the competition recorded an impressive total of 62,655 participants from across Indonesia — a clear indication that students’ interest in science and research continues to grow. For SD Al Siddiq International students, this opportunity serves as a valuable platform to enhance analytical skills, broaden scientific understanding, and build confidence in competing at both national and international levels. SMP Al-Siddiq International Holds Market Day with International Cross-Cultural Theme

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, SMP Al-Siddiq International held a lively Market Day event with the theme “International Cross-Cultural Celebration.” The event took place from 08.00 to 10.40 a.m. at the Al-Siddiq International School sports field. Students were divided into various groups, each representing a different cultural region or country, including the Middle East, Turkey, Sumatra, Java, Sunda, Bali, France, Italy, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. Each group creatively decorated their stalls and sold unique items that reflected their chosen culture. The event began with an opening speech from Mr. Yusuf Yudhana, S.Pd., the school principal, followed by a Qur’an recitation (tilawah) by Muhammad Kautsar Mehaga Perangin-angin. Afterward, students enthusiastically started selling a wide range of foods, drinks, decorations, toys, and merchandise, all themed according to their assigned region or country. To attract visitors, the students wore traditional costumes and decorated their stalls with cultural ornaments and symbols. The vibrant and colorful atmosphere successfully captured the spirit of diversity and creativity. During the event, each group was evaluated by two judges—Miss Pravitasari, S.Psi., M.Ag., and Mr. Ginanjar Citra Cimarga, M.Pd.—who assessed their performance based on creativity, teamwork, presentation, and entrepreneurial spirit. Through this event, students not only practiced entrepreneurship, but also developed valuable skills such as creativity, teamwork, discipline, and communication in English. An Exciting Market Day with the Secondary Students

On Wednesday, 29 October 2025, the kindergarten pupils of Al Siddiq International took part in an educational activity that was different from their usual routine. They joined the Market Day event organised by the secondary students at Al Siddiq’s school field. The morning atmosphere was lively and full of enthusiasm, as the kindergarten children eagerly explored the various stalls that had been set up. Before the event began, the children carried out their usual morning routines. They started with a line-up, followed by circle time, and then performed the Dhuha prayer together. Afterwards, they were asked to finish their snacks brought from home so that they could join the Market Day activities with better focus and comfort. Guided by their teachers, the children then walked to the school field. There, they were welcomed by rows of stalls offering a variety of food, drinks, and interesting accessories. These stalls were managed by the secondary students, who looked both serious and friendly as they served their young visitors. The learning atmosphere was strong, yet presented in a fun and engaging way. During their visit, the children were accompanied by teachers as they exchanged the money brought from home for the items they wanted to buy. This process served as a hands-on learning experience for the children to understand the concepts of buying and selling, the value of money, and simple arithmetic. For example, they learnt that each item had a price and that they needed enough money to purchase it. They also practised counting the change they received. The Market Day was not merely an opportunity to play or shop, but also a valuable learning experience. The children learnt directly and contextually how buying and selling transactions work. They were encouraged to interact, make choices, decide, and appreciate both the money they spent and the items they bought. SD Al Siddiq International Welcomes a Native Speaker from Canada

As part of its commitment to developing global competence among students, SD Al Siddiq International once again organised an English learning programme with a native speaker. This time, the school invited Mr Jeff, an experienced educator from Canada, to provide students with an authentic English learning experience. Mr Jeff’s arrival was warmly welcomed by all students, teachers, and staff. During the introduction and interactive learning sessions held in class, the students showed great enthusiasm. They engaged in dialogues, role-plays, and various communicative activities that encouraged confidence, fluency, and natural English pronunciation. “Learning directly from a native speaker makes the children more confident. They not only learn the language but also the culture and ethics of international communication,” said one of the accompanying teachers. This programme is part of the school’s strategy to create a globally standardised learning environment while strengthening students’ English exposure beyond textbooks. Through a communicative approach and an enjoyable atmosphere, the programme aims to help students significantly improve their listening and speaking skills. Language Month and Youth Pledge Day Celebration at SMP Al-Siddiq International

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, SMP Al-Siddiq International celebrated Bulan Bahasa (Language Month) and Sumpah Pemuda (Youth Pledge Day) with great enthusiasm. The event featured three exciting competitions: News Reading, Poetry, and Stand-Up Comedy. The celebration began at 08.00 a.m. with two talented boys students from Grade 7, Jagat Alfatara and Jagad Abdullah Al-Muharram, serving as the Masters of Ceremony (MCs). The program opened with a warm welcoming speech from the Principal, Mr. Yusuf Yudhana, S.Pd., followed by a beautiful recitation of the Qur’an by Cut Hamidatul Aqila from Grade 7 Girls. The event continued with a speech delivered by the newly elected OSIS President, Azka Fakhri Arkananta, from Grade 8 Boys. The first competition was News Reading, where participants presented news segments in the style of a real Breaking News broadcast. They were judged on intonation, pronunciation, language use, appearance, and body language. The competition was evaluated by two teachers, Mr. Fedrian Hasman, M.Sas., and Mr. Umair Shoddiq, S.I.Kom. After a 30-minute break, the event continued with the Poetry Competition, judged by Mr. Muhammad Fathul Ihsan, M.Res., and Mr. Khalid Abdullah, Lc. The atmosphere became emotional as students expressed deep feelings and creativity through their poetic performances. The final competition was Stand-Up Comedy, which brought laughter and joy to the audience. The judges for this segment were Mrs. Robiah Adawiyah, M.Pd., and Ustadzah Diah Santikawati, S.Pd.I. The participants not only delivered funny jokes but also dressed in humorous outfits, making the performances even more entertaining. The Language Month and Youth Pledge Day celebration successfully showcased the students’ talents, creativity, and confidence.
