Fostering Discipline and Patriotism Through the Flag Ceremony

On Monday, 27 July 2026, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten held its regular flag ceremony, attended by all kindergarten pupils on the school field. This routine activity aims to instil character values, discipline, responsibility, and a love for the nation from an early age. Through the ceremony, pupils are encouraged to respect national symbols while developing the habit of following shared rules and procedures. Before the ceremony began, all pupils gathered on the school field and lined up neatly according to their classes. The teachers assisted in organising the lines, ensuring that every child could participate in an orderly manner. The cheerful and energetic atmosphere of the morning provided a positive start to the children’s day of learning. During the ceremony, several pupils were given the opportunity to serve as ceremony officials, including the ceremony leader and the reader of the Pancasila text. These roles provided valuable opportunities for the children to develop courage, self-confidence, public speaking skills, and a sense of responsibility in carrying out their assigned duties. Meanwhile, the teachers guided the proceedings and served as ceremony supervisors, ensuring that every stage of the event was conducted in an orderly and respectful manner. The flag ceremony is not only an opportunity for pupils to learn the proper procedures of a national ceremony, but also an effective way to cultivate positive habits. The children learn to arrive on time, follow instructions carefully, maintain appropriate behaviour throughout the ceremony, and show respect to both their teachers and classmates. These values form an essential foundation for the development of strong character that will benefit them in the years ahead. Through the regular organisation of flag ceremonies, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten hopes to nurture discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of patriotism from an early age. Developing Talents and PotentialExtracurricular Activities Resume at Al Siddiq International Primary School

On Friday afternoon, 31 July, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (WIB), Al Siddiq International Primary School was once again filled with enthusiasm and excitement as extracurricular activities officially resumed for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. After selecting activities based on their individual interests and talents, pupils eagerly took part in a wide range of programmes designed to help them develop their potential beyond the classroom. Extracurricular activities form an essential part of the educational experience at Al Siddiq International Primary School. Through enjoyable and educational programmes, pupils not only enhance their skills but are also encouraged to develop important character traits such as discipline, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, and self-confidence. For the 2026/2027 Academic Year, the school continues to offer a diverse selection of extracurricular activities, including futsal, swimming, creative dance, drawing, karate, Saman dance, and pencak silat. In addition, two new programmes have been introduced to provide even greater opportunities for pupils: archery and hadroh. The introduction of archery is expected to help pupils develop focus, patience, and precision. Meanwhile, the hadroh programme provides an opportunity for pupils to appreciate Islamic musical arts while building their confidence in expressing Islamic values through the recitation of shalawat. All extracurricular activities are led by experienced coaches and instructors, ensuring that every pupil can learn in a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment. With professional guidance, participants are encouraged to nurture their talents while striving for achievements both within the school and in various competitions. These extracurricular programmes also reflect Al Siddiq International Primary School’s commitment to providing a balanced education that integrates academic excellence, character development, practical skills, and Islamic values. Through meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom, pupils are expected to grow into creative, independent, and morally responsible individuals who are well prepared to meet future challenges. Initial Health Screening for Al Siddiq International Kindergarten Pupils in Collaboration with Jatimakmur Community Health Centre

On Monday, 27 July 2026, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten, in collaboration with the Jatimakmur Community Health Centre (Puskesmas Jatimakmur), conducted an initial health screening programme for all kindergarten pupils. The activity took place in the classrooms and dining area as part of the school’s commitment to monitoring children’s health from an early age. The screening aimed to assess the pupils’ basic health conditions while supporting their growth and development, ensuring they remain healthy and ready to participate fully in their learning at school. The programme began with an introductory session led by nurses from the Jatimakmur Community Health Centre in the classroom. During the session, the nurses introduced themselves, explained the purpose of their visit, and provided a simple overview of the health checks that would be carried out. The information was presented in a child-friendly manner, helping the pupils feel calm, comfortable, and well prepared for the screening. Following the introduction, the health examinations were conducted individually in the kindergarten dining area. Pupils were called from their classrooms one at a time to undergo the assessments. The screening covered several aspects of children’s health and development, including dental and oral health, nail hygiene, colour recognition through a colour vision test, correct pencil grip, and other basic assessments related to children’s health and developmental readiness. Throughout the process, teachers accompanied the pupils, helping them feel more confident and at ease. The health screening plays an important role in identifying potential health concerns at an early stage. Through the dental examination and nail hygiene check, healthcare professionals were able to educate the children about the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene. Meanwhile, the pencil grip assessment and colour vision test provided valuable insights into the development of fine motor skills and visual function. It is hoped that the results of these examinations will serve as a useful reference for parents, the school, and healthcare professionals in planning any necessary follow-up support. The programme was carried out smoothly, with all pupils participating enthusiastically. At the conclusion of the activity, the nurses from the Jatimakmur Community Health Centre expressed their appreciation to the school, the teachers, and all the pupils for their excellent cooperation throughout the screening process. Learning Science Through ExperimentationGrade 3 Students Observe the Growth of Mung Bean Plants

Science learning becomes far more meaningful when pupils are able to see, touch, and experience the concepts they study firsthand. This was precisely the experience of the Grade 3 pupils at Al Siddiq International Primary School as they took part in a simple science experiment for the topic “Plants are Living Things”. During this activity, the pupils planted mung bean seeds to observe the process of plant growth. With great enthusiasm, they prepared the planting medium, sowed the seeds, and learnt how to care for them so that they could grow healthily. Throughout the experiment, the pupils observed the changes in the mung bean seeds day by day. They discovered that plants are living things because they grow, require water and air to survive, and respond to the environment around them. This practical activity not only enabled the pupils to understand scientific concepts in a more concrete and meaningful way, but also developed their observation skills, critical thinking, and natural curiosity about the world around them. Hands-on learning experiences such as this make science enjoyable while reinforcing the concepts taught in the classroom. Through simple experiments like this, Al Siddiq International Primary School remains committed to providing active, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences.
