Learning Through Touch and Sight at the Natural Materials Centre

On Monday and Tuesday, 31 August and 1 September 2026, students of Kindergarten A at Al Siddiq International took part in a learning-through-play activity at the Natural Materials Centre. This time, the children were invited to explore a variety of textures and colours through several activities prepared by their teachers. Through hands-on play, the children were able to become familiar with different objects around them by looking, touching, and trying things out for themselves. Before the activity began, the teacher provided an initial briefing. Several rules for playing at the centre were introduced, such as using the tools and materials properly, taking turns during activities, and keeping the play area tidy. The children were also given the opportunity to choose friends to form their groups. Through this process, the children began learning to follow rules while developing positive habits of playing and interacting with others. The teacher then introduced the theme of the activity and invited the children to observe the various objects and materials available in the classroom. Simple explanations were given about the objects, while the children were encouraged to observe their characteristics. They were then given opportunities to discover differences in colour and texture through their own experiences. During the exploration session, the children worked with their group members and took turns trying all the activities prepared by the teacher, including sorting pom-poms by colour, pretend cooking, playing with playdough, painting, and stamping. The children were able to touch, observe, and explore the different materials provided. Through these experiences, they began to discover that objects can have different colours and textures. Some materials felt smooth, rough, soft, or had other interesting characteristics waiting to be explored. The exploration activities provided more than just sensory experiences. They also helped develop the children’s curiosity and observation skills. The children were encouraged to try new things and discover new experiences through play. When touching or observing a particular material, they learnt to use their senses to gather information about the object they were exploring. In addition to learning about textures and colours, working in groups provided valuable opportunities for the children to develop their social skills. They learnt to wait for their turn, share tools and materials, and give their friends opportunities to participate. Simple habits such as taking turns and playing together helped the children learn to respect others and follow agreed rules. Throughout the activity, the teacher provided support and guidance according to the children’s individual needs. The teacher observed their exploration and asked simple questions or provided prompts to encourage them to think further. In this way, the children were not merely following instructions, but were also given opportunities to discover and understand what they experienced during play. Through this activity at the Natural Materials Centre, Kindergarten A students at Al Siddiq International enjoyed a learning experience that was both engaging and meaningful. Exploring textures and colours helped develop their sensory abilities, curiosity, observation skills, and social skills through interaction with their friends. Enhancing Qur’anic Teaching Competence: Al Siddiq International Primary School Teachers Take Part in Qur’an Training of Trainers (ToT)

Alhamdulillah, Al Siddiq International Primary School continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of education through the professional development of its educators. One of these efforts was demonstrated through the participation of teachers in the Training, Certification & Standardisation of Qur’an Teachers (Muallim Al-Qur’an) in Bekasi City. The training was held on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at Universitas Muhammadiyah Indonesia Bekasi. Four teachers from Al Siddiq International Primary School took part in the programme: Ust. Dede, Ust. Asep, Ustadzah Fanni, and Ustadzah Amrina. The teachers’ participation in this programme formed part of Al Siddiq International Primary School’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and professionalism of its educators, particularly in the field of Qur’anic education. As an important component of education at the school, Qur’anic learning requires teachers who are not only capable of delivering lessons, but who also possess the appropriate competence, understanding, and teaching methods to guide students effectively. The Training, Certification & Standardisation of Qur’an Teachers (Muallim Al-Qur’an) in Bekasi City provided the teachers with an opportunity to continue learning and developing their abilities. Through the programme, participants were able to broaden their knowledge and strengthen their readiness to fulfil their role as muallim who guide and accompany students in learning the Qur’an. For Al Siddiq International Primary School, enhancing teacher competence is an integral part of its efforts to improve the overall quality of education. Teachers interact directly with students every day; therefore, the quality and competence of educators have a significant influence on the quality of the learning experiences received by students. This is particularly important in Qur’anic education, where teachers play a significant role in developing students’ habits and love for the Qur’an. Teachers are not merely instructors, but also role models in attitude, discipline, perseverance, and devotion to the Qur’an. Through participation in this certification and standardisation programme, the teachers of Al Siddiq International Primary School are expected to gain new knowledge and valuable experiences that can be applied in classroom learning. As a result, Qur’anic learning at the school can continue to become more structured, effective, engaging, and responsive to students’ needs. Beyond the individual benefits for teachers, professional development programmes such as this are also expected to have a positive impact on the wider school community. The knowledge and experience gained can serve as a foundation for continued evaluation and improvement of the Qur’anic learning programmes at Al Siddiq International Primary School. A commitment to lifelong learning is also an important part of the school’s efforts to provide the best possible education for its students. The field of education continues to develop, requiring educators to continually enhance their knowledge and skills. Similarly, Qur’anic education requires a continuous commitment to improving the quality of learning so that students can receive the best possible educational experience. The participation of Ust. Asep, Ustadzah Fanni, and Ustadzah Amrina in this programme is expected to become a positive step towards strengthening the quality of Qur’anic education at Al Siddiq International Primary School. Al-Siddiq International Secondary School OSIS Election: Promoting Democracy and Developing Student Leadership

Bekasi, 31 August 2026 — Al-Siddiq International Secondary School held an important student leadership development programme through the Election of the OSIS President and Vice President for the next term of office on Monday, 31 August 2026. The election marked the transition of leadership from the outgoing OSIS committee to a new generation of student leaders who are expected to bring fresh enthusiasm, innovation, and positive contributions to the development of the school. The election took place in the Grade 8 and 9 Boys classroom and was filled with enthusiasm. The entire programme was attended by students, teachers, and staff of Al-Siddiq International Secondary School. The activity began with a prayer, followed by opening remarks from the Head of Al-Siddiq International Secondary School, Mrs Robiah Adawiyah, M.Pd. Three candidate pairs competed in this year’s election: Candidate Pair 1Armila Khanza & Kanaya Bilqies Candidate Pair 2Cordelia Elodie & Kamaila Zufaira Candidate Pair 3Muhammad Al-Varo Siregar & Adrian Jagat Al-Fatara All three candidate pairs attended the event in person and took their designated places. Each candidate presented constructive visions and missions focused on the advancement of students and the school. The ideas presented by the candidates included efforts to improve various programmes and activities at Al-Siddiq, develop creative students, encourage critical thinking, promote academic excellence, and help students adapt to technological developments. This demonstrated that the OSIS election was not merely an opportunity to choose student leaders, but also a platform for students to learn how to express ideas, compete fairly, take responsibility, and participate in democratic life within the school environment. The voting process was conducted in an orderly manner. Each participant who cast their vote received an ink mark on their finger as proof that they had exercised their voting right. The students participated enthusiastically while maintaining order, allowing the entire election process to proceed in a respectful and organised manner. The event also received direct support from the school leadership team. Those in attendance included School Director Mr Ginanjar Citra Cimarga, M.Pd.; Head of Primary School Mrs Reni Oktavia, M.Pd.; Head of Kindergarten Mrs Itoh Sugiharti, S.E., S.Pd.; and Islamic Affairs Division representative Mr Abdullah Haris, M.Pd. The presence of leaders from different school levels demonstrated that student leadership development and character building are shared priorities across the Al-Siddiq educational community. Another noteworthy aspect of the election was the involvement of the outgoing OSIS committee as part of the election organising team. Their involvement symbolised a healthy leadership succession process while providing the outgoing committee with valuable experience in organising a democratic event and handing over the leadership baton to the next generation. The election results also marked the beginning of a new journey for the Al-Siddiq International Secondary School OSIS. The next challenge will be to transform the vision and mission presented during the campaign into tangible programmes that provide meaningful benefits for the entire student body. The OSIS election is expected to go beyond simply selecting a President and Vice President. It forms part of a broader educational process designed to develop students with leadership qualities, the courage to express ideas, teamwork skills, critical-thinking abilities, creativity, academic excellence, and the ability to utilise technology positively. Building a Strong House at the Block Centre

On Tuesday, 1 September 2026, students of Kindergarten B at Al Siddiq International took part in a learning-through-play activity at the Block Centre. During this activity, the children were invited to work in pairs to construct a house using building blocks. Working together allowed the children not only to learn how to arrange and build with blocks, but also to develop their ability to cooperate, exchange ideas, and create something together with a friend. Before beginning the activity, the teacher provided an initial briefing. The children were first introduced to the rules that needed to be followed while playing at the Block Centre, including how to use the blocks safely and responsibly. They were then given the opportunity to choose a friend to work with. Once the pairs had been formed, the teacher explained the activity: each pair would work together to build a house. Through this activity, the children were introduced to a simple concept of structural strength. The teacher encouraged them to observe how blocks could be arranged to form a house and how the lower parts of a structure support the parts above them. The children learnt that larger and stronger pillars or foundations can help make a structure more stable and less likely to collapse. This concept was introduced through hands-on play, allowing the children to observe, explore, and discover the answer for themselves. Throughout the activity, the teacher moved around the room to observe each group’s building process and provided guidance according to the children’s needs and the situations they encountered. For example, when a block structure suddenly collapsed, the teacher did not immediately rebuild it. Instead, the children were encouraged to observe and identify what might have caused it to fall. They were then guided to try making the pillars at the bottom wider or stronger so that they could provide better support for the structure. Through this experience, the children learnt to try again, find solutions, and understand the relationship between a building’s foundation and its stability. Building the houses in pairs also provided valuable opportunities for the children to develop their social skills. Working in groups of two required them to discuss the shape and design of their house, decide which blocks to use, and cooperate while constructing the structure. Differences in ideas became part of the learning process, helping the children learn to listen to one another, share responsibilities, and complete a task together. Once the buildings had been completed, the teacher documented the children’s creations as a form of appreciation for their efforts and the learning process they had undertaken. Each house had a different shape and arrangement, reflecting the ideas and creativity of each pair. The children learnt that a creation is not judged solely by its final result, but also by the process of trying, cooperating, and making improvements when difficulties arise. The activity concluded with the children tidying up the blocks they had used. They were encouraged to return the blocks to their proper places so that the play area could be organised once again. Through this simple routine, the children learnt to take responsibility for the materials they used while developing the habit of caring for their shared learning environment. Through this activity at the Block Centre, Kindergarten B students at Al Siddiq International gained an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience. Behind the simple task of building a house with blocks, the children were learning about basic construction concepts, structural strength, problem-solving, cooperation, creativity, and responsibility. Through hands-on play, the children discovered that when a structure is not yet strong enough, they can look for ways to make it more stable. Al Siddiq International Primary School Celebrates Students’ Outstanding Achievements in Various Competitions

Al Siddiq International Primary School is once again celebrating a series of outstanding achievements by its students across a wide range of competitions. These accomplishments span not only academic fields, but also sports, the arts, technology, and other areas of skill and talent. These achievements demonstrate the enthusiasm of Al Siddiq International Primary School students to continue developing themselves, their courage to compete, and their ability to showcase their best potential in a variety of fields. At the Jakarta International Roller Skate Competition 2026, Ibrahim Kandara Rahmadani (Grade 3B) successfully won 1st Place in the 100M event, bringing home a gold medal. Ibrahim also achieved 3rd Place in the Speed category at the Sportyskate Inline Competition Series 2. Outstanding achievements were also recorded in swimming. Raffasya Yahya Nugroho (Grade 1B) won 1st Place in the 15M Fins Freestyle, while Arkatama achieved 2nd Place in a swimming competition. At the GKP Fun Swimming Competition, Al Siddiq International Primary School students once again delivered impressive performances. Hisyam Abdar Attarazqa (Grade 3B) won 1st Place in the Series category, was named Fastest Swimmer, and also secured 2nd Place in another Series category. Meanwhile, Aldevaro Zhafran Athallah (Grade 2A) achieved 2nd Place, Qiandra Elmira Shanum (Grade 3D) achieved 3rd Place, and Rhazes Zakaria (Grade 1A) successfully won several 1st Place titles in the swimming events he entered. Achievements were not limited to sports, as students also demonstrated excellence in academic competitions. At Funtasi 2026, Fatimah Arsyinala Afiza (Grade 1D) received a Gold Award in Science, as well as Silver Awards in Mathematics and English. Fatimah once again demonstrated her abilities in inline skating at the Royal Clash 2026: Inline Skate Freestyle Battle Championship, where she won three gold medals in the Classic Slalom Beginner, Fish Slalom Beginner, and Skate Race Beginner categories. Further success came at the Wepool Swimming Fest, where Ahmad Raffa Fathan Lubis (Grade 3A) achieved 1st Place in the 20M Freestyle Swimming Heat, while Qiandra Elmira Shanum (Grade 3D) also secured 1st Place. At the KPM Kota Bekasi Spelling Bee Competition Level 2, three Al Siddiq International Primary School students dominated the top positions. Khalifah Bumi Pratama (Grade 2A) won 1st Place, Rezkia Adelyn Yusuf (Grade 2B) achieved 2nd Place, and Raufa Zaky Shaquell (Grade 2A) secured 3rd Place. In the field of technology and innovation, Muhammad Emil Faruq (Grade 4A) and Ziyad Muhammad Alfatih (Grade 3B) achieved 3rd Place at the Indonesia Robotics & Innovation Challenge (IRIC) 2026. Meanwhile, at the Sugaku Abacus Challenge, Fathir Elyasir Agustianto (Grade 3B) achieved 1st Runner-Up, while Fathan Elrasyid Agustianto (Grade 2A) secured 2nd Runner-Up. Achievements also came from the field of art. At the 81st Indonesian Independence Day Colouring Competition, Rawdha Nawal (Grade 1C) won 2nd Place with her Independence-themed artwork. In swimming, the Baby Shark Cup Aquatic Festival 2026 provided another opportunity for Al Siddiq International Primary School students to showcase their abilities. Giancalief Ajram Agasthya (Grade 6) won 1st Place in the Boys’ 25M Breaststroke, while Giandra Renjiro Raffasya (Grade 4A) achieved 1st Place in the Boys’ 25M Freestyle. In badminton, Haura Inas Rizkinta Sitepu (Grade 2B) achieved 2nd Place in the General U-8 category at the Try Out Badminton Tournament (TOBT) on two occasions, held on 7–8 February 2026 and 10–12 July 2026. These diverse achievements are a source of great pride for the entire Al Siddiq International Primary School community. More than simply trophies and medals, each accomplishment represents the result of hard work, training, discipline, courage, and a never-give-up spirit. OSIS of Al-Siddiq International Secondary School Holds Accountability Report for the 2025/2026 Term

Bekasi, 28 August 2026 — Al-Siddiq International Secondary School held the Student Council (OSIS) Accountability Report (Laporan Pertanggungjawaban/LPJ) for the 2025/2026 term on Friday, 28 August 2026. The event took place on the second floor of the School Mosque and served as both an evaluation process and a valuable leadership-learning experience for students. The activity began with a morning dhikr session, followed by a tausiyah as part of the students’ spiritual development and character-building programme. After the religious activities had concluded, the programme continued with its main agenda: the OSIS Accountability Report for the 2025/2026 term. The report was presented by the OSIS President, Azka Fakhri Arkananta, together with the OSIS Vice President, Muhammad Kautsar Mehaga Perangi, under the guidance of the OSIS advisers, Mr Amal Zikrullah, M.Pd. and Mrs Diah Santikawati, S.Pd. During the forum, the OSIS committee presented a report on the various work programmes that had been planned and implemented throughout their term of office. The report served as a form of accountability to the school, OSIS members, and advisers for the responsibilities and trust entrusted to them during the 2025/2026 term. Following the presentation, OSIS members and the advisers took part in an evaluation process and formally received the accountability report. This provided all members with an opportunity to review the achievements of the programmes, the challenges encountered, and the areas requiring attention and improvement for the next OSIS administration. One of the flagship programmes of the 2025/2026 OSIS administration was the creation of opportunities for students at Al-Siddiq International Secondary School to develop their creativity. OSIS sought to provide a platform for students to express their ideas, talents, interests, and abilities through various activities within the school environment. In addition, OSIS played an active role in enlivening various national and religious celebrations, as well as important school occasions, with OSIS committee members involved in organising and implementing the activities. Such involvement provided students with practical experience in planning events, distributing responsibilities, coordinating with one another, working as a team, and completing responsibilities collectively. The LPJ was not merely an administrative organisational agenda, but also an integral part of character education and student leadership development. Through their organisational experience, students learnt that leadership is not simply about implementing programmes, but also about fulfilling a trust, demonstrating responsibility, maintaining transparency, conducting evaluations, and being prepared to account for every responsibility entrusted to them. The programme, which began with morning dhikr and a tausiyah, also conveyed an important message: leadership at Al-Siddiq International Secondary School is developed not only through organisational skills, but also through spiritual growth and character development. A leader is expected to be able to work and collaborate effectively, while also demonstrating strong moral values, integrity, and a sense of responsibility. The OSIS advisers expressed their appreciation for the contributions and hard work of all committee members throughout the term. The achievements accomplished during the year were valuable milestones to be appreciated and celebrated, while the shortcomings and challenges identified served as important lessons for building a stronger organisation in the future. With the completion of this accountability report, the 2025/2026 OSIS administration has successfully completed one of the important stages in its organisational journey. The experience gained throughout the term is expected to become a valuable foundation for the students as they continue to develop their leadership abilities and make positive contributions to the school community. The activity also formed part of the process of student leadership regeneration, ensuring that the spirit of creativity, responsibility, collaboration, and care for the school can continue to be carried forward by the next generation of student leaders. Through dhikr and tausiyah, students strengthen their values. Through organisation, they learn to lead.
