Alhamdulillah, Al Siddiq International Primary School continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of education through the professional development of its educators. One of these efforts was demonstrated through the participation of teachers in the Training, Certification & Standardisation of Qur’an Teachers (Muallim Al-Qur’an) in Bekasi City.
The training was held on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at Universitas Muhammadiyah Indonesia Bekasi. Four teachers from Al Siddiq International Primary School took part in the programme: Ust. Dede, Ust. Asep, Ustadzah Fanni, and Ustadzah Amrina.
The teachers’ participation in this programme formed part of Al Siddiq International Primary School’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and professionalism of its educators, particularly in the field of Qur’anic education. As an important component of education at the school, Qur’anic learning requires teachers who are not only capable of delivering lessons, but who also possess the appropriate competence, understanding, and teaching methods to guide students effectively.
The Training, Certification & Standardisation of Qur’an Teachers (Muallim Al-Qur’an) in Bekasi City provided the teachers with an opportunity to continue learning and developing their abilities. Through the programme, participants were able to broaden their knowledge and strengthen their readiness to fulfil their role as muallim who guide and accompany students in learning the Qur’an.
For Al Siddiq International Primary School, enhancing teacher competence is an integral part of its efforts to improve the overall quality of education. Teachers interact directly with students every day; therefore, the quality and competence of educators have a significant influence on the quality of the learning experiences received by students.
This is particularly important in Qur’anic education, where teachers play a significant role in developing students’ habits and love for the Qur’an. Teachers are not merely instructors, but also role models in attitude, discipline, perseverance, and devotion to the Qur’an.
Through participation in this certification and standardisation programme, the teachers of Al Siddiq International Primary School are expected to gain new knowledge and valuable experiences that can be applied in classroom learning. As a result, Qur’anic learning at the school can continue to become more structured, effective, engaging, and responsive to students’ needs.

The participation of Ust. Dede, Ust. Asep, Ustadzah Fanni, and Ustadzah Amrina in this programme is expected to become a positive step towards strengthening the quality of Qur’anic education at Al Siddiq International Primary School. May the knowledge they have gained be shared, developed, and put into practice in the process of educating and guiding students.
More broadly, the programme is expected to support the school’s aspiration to nurture a generation that is not only academically successful, but also possesses good character, strong Islamic values, and a close relationship with and deep love for the Qur’an.
Qur’anic education is not simply about the ability to read verse after verse. It is also about nurturing the values of the Qur’an within students so that these values are reflected in their attitudes and everyday lives. Achieving this requires educators who possess both professional competence and exemplary character.
Al Siddiq International Primary School will continue to support positive professional development opportunities that enhance the capacity and quality of its teachers. With educators who continue to learn and grow, the school hopes to further improve the quality of educational services provided to its students.
