SMP Al Siddiq International School conducted the Mid-Semester Summative Assessment (STS) from 2–6 March 2026. This academic evaluation activity took place over the course of one week and was attended by all junior secondary students as part of the process of assessing their learning achievements at the mid-point of the semester.
This year’s STS was administered using a Learning Management System (LMS) as the primary platform for the examinations. The utilisation of this digital platform reflects the school’s commitment to integrating technology into the learning process while also fostering students’ digital literacy. Through this system, students were able to access examination questions, complete their tests, and submit their answers in a structured manner that could be monitored by their teachers.
All subjects assessed in the STS were presented in English, in line with the international learning concept implemented at Al Siddiq International School. Meanwhile, for Islamic studies subjects, the questions and materials were prepared in Arabic in order to strengthen students’ language competence as well as their understanding of Islamic literature.
The STS not only serves as a means of academic evaluation but also functions as an important instrument for measuring students’ level of understanding of the material studied during the first half of the semester. Through the results of this evaluation, teachers are able to reflect on the learning process and develop strategies to reinforce key materials so that subsequent learning can be even more effective.
Throughout the examination period, the activities proceeded in an orderly and conducive manner. The students demonstrated discipline and responsibility in attending each examination session according to the predetermined schedule. Supervision was carried out by subject teachers and the academic team to ensure that the examination process remained honest, transparent, and in accordance with the school’s academic standards.
With the implementation of the Learning Management System-based Mid-Semester Summative Assessment, SMP Al Siddiq International School continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing an educational system that adapts to technological developments while maintaining the quality of value-based learning, international language use, and the strengthening of Islamic scholarship.
