PPDB Batch 6 Psychological Assessment and Observation at Al Siddiq International School

Alhamdulillah, as part of the Batch 6 New Student Admissions (PPDB) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, Al Siddiq International School successfully conducted its Psychological Assessment and Observation Programme on Saturday, 20 June 2026. The event took place on the school campus from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon (WIB) and was attended by prospective pupils applying for the Kindergarten and Primary School levels. The psychological assessments and observations were conducted in collaboration with AMNA Psychological Assessment Centre, a professional organisation with extensive experience in providing psychological evaluations for young children and primary-aged pupils. This programme forms an important stage of the admissions process, enabling the school to gain a comprehensive understanding of each applicant’s learning readiness, character, and individual potential. The primary purpose of the assessment was to evaluate each child’s cognitive development, social and emotional skills, communication abilities, and overall readiness to participate in learning at their chosen educational level. The results of the assessment serve not only as part of the admissions process but also as valuable information that helps the school provide educational support tailored to each child’s individual needs and potential. Throughout the programme, participants completed a range of age-appropriate assessment activities. Prospective Kindergarten pupils were primarily observed through play-based activities, communication tasks, and interactions with the psychologists and assessors. Meanwhile, applicants for the Primary School level completed psychological assessments designed to evaluate learning readiness, thinking skills, concentration, and other developmental aspects relevant to primary education. The programme was conducted in a well-organised, comfortable, and supportive environment. The team from the AMNA Psychological Assessment Centre, together with the Al Siddiq International School Admissions Committee, provided warm guidance and encouragement throughout the process, helping each child to participate confidently and comfortably. During the assessments, parents waited in the designated area prepared by the school until all activities had been completed. Through the successful implementation of the Batch 6 Psychological Assessment and Observation Programme, Al Siddiq International School once again demonstrated its commitment to delivering high-quality educational services from the very beginning of the admissions process. The school firmly believes that every child possesses unique strengths and potential, and that careful assessment is an essential first step in understanding each learner’s individual characteristics and educational needs. It is our sincere hope that the entire Batch 6 Admissions Programme will continue to run smoothly and provide the best possible outcomes for all prospective pupils. We look forward to welcoming a new generation of learners who will grow into individuals of excellent character, strong academic ability, and leadership potential, ready to embrace the future as members of the Al Siddiq International School community.By Arief Firmansyah, S.Kom

SMP Al Siddiq International School to Celebrate Its First Grand Tahfidz and Academic Graduation Ceremony

SMP Al Siddiq International School is set to mark a significant milestone in its history by holding its first-ever Grand Tahfidz and Academic Graduation Ceremony for the inaugural graduating cohort on 1 June 2026. A total of 17 students will take part in the academic graduation ceremony, symbolising the successful completion of their educational journey at the junior secondary level. This occasion is more than just a graduation ceremony; it represents a major milestone in the development of an educational institution that, within a relatively short period, has demonstrated remarkable growth and achieved numerous accomplishments in academics, character development, and Qur’anic memorisation. The Head of the Education Unit of SMP Al Siddiq International School stated that the school’s journey since its establishment has been filled with both challenges and opportunities. During its first year, the school enrolled only around 20 students. However, this modest number became a strong foundation for building a high-quality, personalised educational culture focused on nurturing a generation of globally minded Muslim learners. “Our journey began with a small step. Today, we are witnessing how that small step has grown into an impressive leap of achievement,” he remarked. As part of its commitment to educational excellence, SMP Al Siddiq International School offers a range of flagship programmes designed to meet the demands of the modern era while preserving Islamic values. One of these flagship initiatives is the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Programme, which focuses on strengthening students’ digital literacy and technological competencies. Through this programme, students are introduced to coding, simple application development, educational game design, and the fundamentals of web development. This approach not only develops technical skills but also fosters computational thinking, creativity, and critical thinking from an early age. Alongside academic development, the Tahfidz Programme serves as a central pillar in nurturing students’ character and spirituality. The programme aims for students to memorise a minimum of five juz of the Holy Qur’an during their three years of study. Remarkably, some Year 8 students have already surpassed this target and undertaken their Tahfidz assessments ahead of schedule. The school also upholds the principle that every child possesses unique potential and should be given the opportunity to develop according to their strengths. For this reason, education at SMP Al Siddiq International School is delivered through a personalised and human-centred approach rather than imposing a single standard of success on all students. This philosophy is reflected in the diverse achievements of its students. Many excel not only in Qur’anic memorisation but also in the fields of arts, vocal performance, leadership, and academics. This multidimensional approach has become a distinctive feature of student development at the school. Nevertheless, the school maintains rigorous standards in the Tahfidz programme. Every memorisation achievement must pass through a structured series of assessments and cannot progress without meeting the required standards. “If a student has completed memorising Juz 30, they must first undergo an assessment. Once their memorisation is strong and secure, they may proceed to the next juz. Every stage must be thoroughly mastered and mutqin (accurate and firmly memorised),” explained the school administration. This year’s graduation ceremony will showcase several outstanding memorisation achievements. One Year 9 student, Kenzie, has successfully memorised eight juz of the Holy Qur’an. Meanwhile, Fruomoasa Karinadia has memorised six juz and has already participated in the Tahfidz assessment conducted by the Bekasi City LPTQ. The Tahfidz graduates will be grouped according to their memorisation achievements, ranging from two juz and three juz to higher levels of memorisation. What makes the ceremony particularly meaningful is that it will not be merely symbolic; invited guests will also have the opportunity to listen directly to a live tasmi’ recitation by one of the students as authentic evidence of their memorisation accomplishments. In addition to recognising academic and non-academic achievements, the school places great emphasis on honouring students based on their learning process, manners, character, discipline, perseverance, and dedication throughout their educational journey. This inaugural graduation ceremony is expected to serve as both a moment of reflection and a stepping stone towards even greater achievements. With a steadily growing student population and increasing public trust, SMP Al Siddiq International School remains optimistic about its future development as one of the leading educational institutions dedicated to producing Qur’anic, high-achieving, well-rounded, and globally prepared young individuals. This historic occasion reaffirms the belief that every great journey begins with a small step—and today, that small step has evolved into a remarkable legacy of achievement.Retno Suzanne Handayani, Lc, M.Pd

In an effort to enliven the holy month of Ramadan and strengthen the values of faith and togetherness, Al Siddiq International School organised congregational Tarawih prayers held regularly from 23 February 2026 to 11 March 2026. This programme took place within the school premises and involved all members of the school community, including teachers, students, and parents. This arrangement ensured equal opportunities for all members of the school community to participate actively in congregational worship while fostering closer relationships among them. Each evening, the school mosque was filled with worshippers who attended with enthusiasm and sincerity in performing their عبادah. The Tarawih prayers were carried out in an orderly and solemn manner, led by appointed imams. After the ‘Isha prayer and before the Tarawih began, the programme featured a short religious talk (kultum), delivered by different ustadz each day. Strengthening the Spiritual Foundation of Educators: The Teachers’ Ramadan Programme at Al Siddiq

In welcoming and filling the blessed month of Ramadan 1447H with meaningful activities, Al Siddiq International School has organised a special programme for teachers entitled the Al Siddiq Teachers’ Ramadan Programme. The activities are held daily from 23 February to 11 March 2026, from 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. (WIB), at Masjid Al Siddiq. This programme is designed as a platform for strengthening the spiritual well-being (ruhiyah) of educators, ensuring that Ramadan becomes not only a time for personal worship, but also an opportunity to enhance their character and commitment as teachers and role models for students. Ramadan Tausiyah: Refreshing the Heart and Mind One of the main highlights of the programme is the Ramadan Tausiyah delivered by Ustadz Abdullah Haris, Lc., M.Pd. In his reflections, he addresses themes such as the virtues of Ramadan, sincerity in good deeds, and the role of teachers as educators who not only impart knowledge but also instil values and noble character. Through these sessions, teachers are encouraged to view Ramadan as a school of self-improvement and a means of strengthening their dedication to nurturing a Qur’anic generation. Congregational Qur’an Recitation (Tadarus) In addition to the tausiyah sessions, the programme includes congregational Qur’an recitation. The serene atmosphere of Masjid Al Siddiq resonates with the collective recitation of the holy verses by the teachers. This activity aims not only to increase the quantity of recitation, but also to cultivate unity and togetherness in righteousness. The congregational tadarus becomes a moment of reflection and contemplation, reminding educators that the Qur’an is the primary source of inspiration in fulfilling their responsibility as teachers. Tahsin Learning in Halaqah Groups To enhance the quality of Qur’anic recitation, the programme also features tahsin (recitation improvement) sessions conducted in small halaqah groups. Each group is guided by a musyrif from among the asatidz (male and female teachers) of Al Siddiq. Within this more focused and structured setting, teachers work on improving pronunciation (makharijul huruf), rules of tajwid, and fluency. The halaqah system enables more personalised and effective guidance, ensuring that each participant receives support according to their individual needs. Rotational Activities, Consistent Commitment The activities rotate daily between tausiyah sessions, congregational tadarus, and tahsin learning. This format ensures that the programme remains dynamic and engaging, sustaining participants’ enthusiasm throughout Ramadan. With a duration of one hour each day following teaching activities, the programme serves as a spiritual oasis amidst the teachers’ busy schedules. Ramadan as a School for Educators The Al Siddiq Teachers’ Ramadan Programme demonstrates that the enhancement of educational quality begins with the development of its educators. Teachers who are spiritually grounded are better prepared to guide, inspire, and instil noble values in their students. May this programme draw teachers closer to the Qur’an, strengthen their character, and deepen their sincerity in carrying out their noble trust as educators. Ramadan is not only a month of worship, but also a month of growth and refinement—for both students and the teachers who lead by example.By Arief Firmansyah, S.Kom

Launching the eTahfizh Al Siddiq Application: A Digital Innovation for Monitoring Students’ Qur’anic Memorisation

As part of strengthening collaboration between school and parents in guiding students’ Qur’anic memorisation, SMP Al Siddiq International held a socialisation session on the use of the web-based eTahfizh Al Siddiq application during the Parent–Teacher Conference on 24 January 2026. This session became one of the key highlights of the meeting, introducing a digital innovation specifically designed to monitor students’ memorisation submissions in a more structured, transparent, and real-time manner. Presented Directly by the Programme Developer The session was delivered by Mr Arief Firmansyah, S.Kom, the creator and developer of the eTahfizh Al Siddiq programme. In his presentation, he explained the background behind the development of the application as a solution to the need for a more effective and well-documented memorisation monitoring system. Through this web-based platform, parents are able to track their children’s memorisation progress, including the number of verses submitted, target achievements, and evaluation notes from the tahfizh teachers. The system ensures that data is neatly stored and accessible anytime and anywhere. Transparency and School–Parent Collaboration During the demonstration session, parents were guided through the login process, how to read progress reports, and how to understand the memorisation achievement indicators. The participants showed great enthusiasm, raising various questions regarding technical usage and additional supporting features. The eTahfizh application is expected to strengthen collaboration between teachers and parents in supporting students’ memorisation journey. With open and accurate access to information, parents can provide more effective encouragement and assistance at home. Implementation Across All Levels As part of the school’s commitment to developing a technology-based tahfizh programme, starting from early February 2026, the eTahfizh Al Siddiq application will be officially implemented not only at the junior high level but also at the kindergarten and primary levels within Al Siddiq International School. This step marks a significant digital transformation in the school’s Qur’anic memorisation system and reflects its vision of integrating Islamic values with technological advancement. Towards a More Modern and Measurable Tahfizh System With the introduction of eTahfizh Al Siddiq, the process of monitoring memorisation is no longer solely manual, but supported by accurate and measurable data. The programme is expected to enhance the quality of tahfizh guidance, strengthen communication between school and parents, and foster greater motivation among students to achieve their memorisation targets. Through this innovation, Al Siddiq International School once again demonstrates its commitment to delivering high-quality education that is adaptive to modern developments while remaining firmly grounded in the values of the Qur’an.By Arief Firmansyah, S.Kom
