Open House Al Siddiq International School 2025: Education, Collaboration, and Service

On Saturday, 29 November 2025, Al Siddiq International School successfully held its Open House, an event filled with warmth, enthusiasm, and meaningful interaction. Starting at 08:00 WIB, the programme was attended by dozens of prospective parents eager to learn more about the school’s educational approach and learning environment. The event began with an insightful seminar entitled “Growth Mindset Insight”, delivered by growth mindset practitioner Dr Rachmat Hidayat (Doctor in Education Sciences).During the session, Dr Rachmat shared valuable perspectives on developing a growth mindset in children as a foundation for overcoming learning challenges. Parents responded enthusiastically, actively engaging and appreciating the content presented. Following the seminar, prospective parents were invited to visit the stands representing the Early Years (TK), Primary (SD), and Secondary (SMP) units.Each stand showcased: Comprehensive information about each unit’s profile and curriculum, Documentation of learning activities that had taken place, Exhibitions of student-made products and creative works, from early years projects and primary school portfolios to innovative and project-based creations from secondary students, The stands were designed to be interactive and informative, offering visitors a direct look at the learning process and student achievements at Al Siddiq International School. Adding extra value to this year’s event, the school collaborated with the Masmitra Hospital Team (RS Masmitra Bekasi) to provide free health check-ups for all attending parents. The service included basic health screenings and short consultations, which were warmly welcomed by visitors. This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to supporting the well-being of the Al Siddiq community. The atmosphere of the Open House was further enlivened by a food bazaar offering a variety of culinary options. The bazaar became a pleasant gathering spot where parents could enjoy light refreshments after touring the stands and participating in the programme. Throughout the event, parents demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm. They actively asked questions, engaged in discussions, and showed great interest in the school’s educational programmes. This strong involvement reflects the high level of trust the community places in Al Siddiq International School as a nurturing and forward-thinking learning institution. Click, Shape, and Build a House! Learning ICT Made Fun!

On Thursday, 6 November 2025, the TK B pupils of Al Siddiq International took part in an engaging ICT learning activity held in the school’s computer lab. This session focused on using the Paint application, a simple digital drawing programme designed to introduce young children to technology while nurturing their creativity. In this lesson, the children were guided to create a picture of a house using the shape features available in Paint. This activity not only trained basic computer skills but also introduced geometric concepts such as squares, triangles, and circles. The children learned to recognise and combine these shapes to create a simple house illustration, complete with a roof, door, and windows. Before starting their drawings, the children were guided to turn on the computer independently by pressing the power button on the CPU. Once the computer was on, they were taught how to open Paint by clicking the search icon and typing “Paint” in the search bar. After the application opened, the teacher gave easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. The children appeared enthusiastic as they followed the teacher’s guidance, from selecting shapes and changing colours to arranging the shapes into a house. This process not only strengthened their fine motor skills through the use of the mouse but also built confidence in using digital devices. Teachers also encouraged the children to be creative by adding extra elements such as the sun or trees if they wished. The main aim of this activity was to introduce technology positively from an early age and to develop the children’s visual creativity through digital media. By using the shape features in Paint, the children learned to think systematically—how to combine individual parts into a meaningful whole. In addition, they practised following instructions, completing tasks, and feeling proud of their own creations. Exciting Profession Class at SD Al Siddiq International with the Indonesian Post Office

SD Al Siddiq International once again held its Profession Class activity, this time featuring representatives from Pos Indonesia. The event was warmly welcomed by all pupils, as they had the opportunity to learn directly from postal officers about the various services and activities carried out at the post office. The Pos Indonesia team not only provided explanations but also brought an operational postal vehicle to the school grounds. The children were visibly excited to see the inside of the vehicle and to listen to explanations about how letters are collected, sorted, and dispatched to various regions across Indonesia. In addition to gaining new insights, the pupils also practised writing their own personal letters. These letters would be posted using special stamps featuring each child’s photo, making the experience even more unique and memorable. The children looked proud as they placed their personalised stamps onto the envelopes before handing them over to the postal officers. Through this activity, the pupils of SD Al Siddiq International not only gained a closer understanding of the postal profession but also learned about the importance of written communication and the process of sending letters—an experience they rarely encounter firsthand today. The Profession Class activity ran smoothly, joyfully, and meaningfully. Parent Study Session at SMP Al-Siddiq International: “The Stages of Raising Children: The Example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, SMP Al-Siddiq International held a Parent Study Session at the Al-Siddiq International School Mosque. The event, which started at 10:00 AM (WIB), carried the theme “The Stages of Raising Children: The Example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”, presented by Ustadz Abdullah Haris, Lc., M.Pd., who serves as the school’s Islamic advisor. The session began with a Qur’an recitation led by Ustadz Abdul Aziz, S.Pd., followed by an opening speech from the School Director, Mr. Ginanjar Citra Cimarga, M.Pd. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude to the attending parents and highlighted the importance of parental roles in applying the Prophet’s educational example at home. During the session, Ustadz Abdullah Haris explained the essential stages of child education based on Islamic values and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He emphasized that educating children is a shared responsibility between parents and the school. The event was filled with enthusiasm and reflection from the parents who attended. How Exciting—Eggs Can Sink, Float in the Middle, and Rise to the Surface!

On Monday and Tuesday, 3–4 November 2025, the TK B pupils of Al Siddiq International took part in an exciting activity in their science class: an experiment investigating how eggs can sink, float in the middle, or rise to the surface. This activity was specially designed to introduce simple science concepts through hands-on experiences that are enjoyable and easy for young children to understand. The experiment was guided directly by the class teachers. The activity began with an introduction, during which the teacher greeted the children and explained that they would be conducting a fun experiment using water, salt, and eggs. The children looked enthusiastic and curious, as this was a brand-new experience for them. Step by step, the teacher demonstrated the experiment process. Three glasses were prepared, each filled with water and a different amount of salt: one with a small amount of salt, one with a moderate amount, and another with a large amount. After that, an egg was placed into each glass one by one. The results amazed the children. The egg in the glass with a small amount of salt sank to the bottom. The egg in the glass with a moderate amount of salt floated in the middle of the water, while the egg in the glass with a high amount of salt rose to the surface. This became an exciting moment that sparked the children’s curiosity about how water and salt can affect objects placed in it. The aim of this experiment was to introduce basic scientific concepts such as density and buoyancy in a concrete and enjoyable way. Through this activity, the children learned that objects may sink or float depending on the density of the liquid surrounding them. They also practised observing, comparing, and drawing simple conclusions from the results. This activity not only enriched the children’s scientific knowledge but also helped develop critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills. Through active learning methods like this, the children do not simply learn theories—they directly experience how science works in the real world, in ways appropriate for their age and stage of development.By Inka Amalia, S.Pd

SD Al Siddiq conducted the Headteacher Performance Appraisal (PKKS) with School Supervisors

SD Al Siddiq conducted the Headteacher Performance Appraisal (PKKS) on Monday, 3 November 2025, as part of its annual agenda aimed at evaluating and improving the school’s managerial quality. The activity was attended and led by two school supervisors from the Bekasi City Education Office, Mr Bambang Saryono, M.Pd., and Mr Sardiyo, S.Pd., M.Pd. The PKKS aims to assess the headteacher’s performance in carrying out duties and responsibilities in the areas of managerial leadership and academic supervision. Through this evaluation, the school hopes to continuously enhance the quality of its educational services, teaching and learning processes, and the professional and sustainable management of resources. During the implementation, Mr Bambang Saryono conducted interviews, observations, and direct assessments with the Head of SD Al Siddiq International, discussing various aspects of school management—from planning and programme implementation to follow-up actions for school quality development. Meanwhile, Mr Sardiyo held discussions with teacher representatives—Ms Dara, Ms Lulu, Ms Jasmine, and Ms Nabila—to gather information related to teaching practices, academic supervision, and classroom innovation. All activities ran in an orderly, smooth, and warm atmosphere. The teachers and headteacher demonstrated readiness and openness in providing information about the good practices carried out at SD Al Siddiq International, including efforts to build a positive school culture focused on meaningful learning for students. Through this PKKS implementation, SD Al Siddiq International reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving the quality of education, as well as the professionalism of its teaching and non-teaching staff.
