The Market Day event at SD Al Siddiq International was once again held with great joy and enthusiasm. This year, the activity was organised in four separate sessions to ensure that all pupils could participate fully. Held on the fourth floor of the school, the event ran from 8.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and was lively and vibrant in every session.
The first session took place on Thursday, 29 January 2026, involving Classes 3A, 5, and 6. From early morning, the pupils were busy arranging their tables and decorating their stalls to make them as attractive as possible. A variety of products, including snacks, refreshing drinks, and homemade creations, were neatly displayed. The pupils learned to promote their goods confidently and to serve customers in a friendly manner.
The second session was held on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, with Classes 3B, 2A, and 2C. The atmosphere grew even more animated with a wide range of creative and innovative products. The pupils appeared increasingly skilled in interacting with customers, handling money, and working collaboratively as a team. Laughter and excitement filled the activity area.
The third session took place on Thursday, 5 February 2026, featuring Classes 3C, 2B, and 2D. The enthusiasm remained strong. Each group strived to provide the best service and to promote their products in unique ways. This activity became a practical learning experience about responsibility, honesty, and hard work.
The final session was conducted on Thursday, 12 February 2026, with Classes 1A and 1B. Although they are in the lower years, their enthusiasm was no less remarkable. With guidance from their teachers, they learned the basic concepts of buying and selling, from stating prices to receiving payments. This experience became a valuable opportunity for them to learn through play.
The Market Day activities were truly festive and vibrant. All pupils looked happy and eager. Teachers and staff of Al Siddiq International also took part by shopping and offering their full support to the pupils. Even pupils from the Kindergarten and Secondary levels under the Al Siddiq International School foundation joined in by making purchases, making the sense of togetherness even warmer.
Through this event, pupils not only learned about entrepreneurship but also developed communication skills, basic management abilities, creativity, and teamwork. Market Day served as a meaningful and enjoyable form of contextual learning. It is hoped that this experience will nurture independence and an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age in every pupil, while strengthening the bond within the entire Al Siddiq International community.
