Grade 8 students of SMP Al-Siddiq International carried out a creative learning activity by creating educational and informative posters using smartphones. The activity was held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 7:00 a.m., in the Grade 8 Girls’ Classroom of SMP Al-Siddiq International.
The learning activity was guided by the Social Studies teacher, Mr. Umair Shoddiq, S.I.Kom, with the aim of encouraging students to use smartphones as positive tools for learning and gaining knowledge.
Before designing the posters, students were first provided with an informative article related to the learning topic. The students then analyzed, summarized, and transformed the article into an educational poster presented in a step-by-step diagram, following the guidance of the teacher. The poster theme was “How to Teach a Baby to Walk.”
The poster design process was carried out using the Canva application, which can be accessed through each student’s smartphone. Through this activity, students were trained to process information, think systematically, and present educational content in a clear and visually engaging way.
This activity also aimed to raise students’ awareness that smartphones can be used for educational purposes and knowledge development, not only for entertainment. The best poster creations will be displayed on the school bulletin board as a form of appreciation and motivation.
