SMP Al-Siddiq International conducted a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the Semester 1 Summative Assessment (SAS) of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The examination took place over five days, from Monday, 8 December to Friday, 12 December 2025, and was carried out in an orderly, safe, and well-structured manner.
Each day, the programme began at 7.00 a.m. with Al-Qur’an learning sessions guided by the respective ustadz and ustadzah. This activity served to strengthen students’ character and spirituality before they sat the examinations. The examinations then commenced at 7.45 a.m. and were conducted according to the schedule set by the school.
The Semester 1 SAS was implemented using a computer-based examination system, in which students completed the tests using computers provided by the school. The system was supported by the Safe Exam Browser (SEB) application and the school’s Learning Management System (LMS) website, ensuring that the examination process was more controlled and experienced minimal disruption.
The use of the CBT system offers several advantages, including enhancing honesty and examination security by restricting access to other applications, speeding up the assessment process, reducing paper usage, and training students to become familiar with digital technology in line with current educational developments.
Nevertheless, not all subjects were assessed through computer-based tests. For Cultural Arts, students took part in practical examinations involving drawing and painting directly on paper, allowing creativity and artistic skills to be assessed optimally. Meanwhile, Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) was conducted through direct sports practice, assessing students’ physical abilities, motor skills, and sportsmanship.
During the examination period, students were allowed to go home at 1.00 p.m. to ensure they had sufficient rest and could maintain their physical and mental well-being. With effective time management, it is hoped that students could participate in the entire SAS programme optimally.
Through the implementation of the Semester 1 CBT SAS, SMP Al-Siddiq International demonstrates its commitment to integrating Islamic values, technology, and educational quality in order to nurture a generation that is morally upright, digitally competent, and ready to face future challenges.
