The Spiritual Journey of Students in Quranic Camp Al Siddiq 2026

In an effort to enhance students’ understanding of Islam while nurturing their love for the Qur’an, Al Siddiq International School organised the Quranic Camp held on 9–10 March 2026 at Masjid Al Siddiq. The activity was attended by students with great enthusiasm and a warm sense of togetherness.

The Quranic Camp was designed as a spiritual development programme that emphasised not only theoretical understanding but also the direct practice of acts of worship. The series of activities began with a workshop on the practical aspects of worship, including the correct method of performing wudu (ablution), tayammum, and the ritual bath (ghusl) in accordance with Islamic teachings. Through this session, students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of taharah (purification) as the foundation of a Muslim’s worship.

As the time for breaking the fast approached, participants brought ta’jil from their homes to share and exchange with their friends. This moment created a warm atmosphere of togetherness while also teaching the values of sharing, brotherhood, and seeking blessings during the month of Ramadan.

After breaking the fast together and performing the Maghrib prayer in congregation, the programme continued with tahsin of the Qur’an, where students improved their Qur’anic recitation under the guidance of their mentors. The evening was filled with qiyamul lail, during which students experienced the spiritual practice of waking in the night to perform voluntary prayers, supplicate, and engage in remembrance of Allah.

The highlight of the programme took place the following morning with the khatm (completion) of the Qur’an, symbolising the students’ love for and closeness to the Holy Qur’an. A deeply moving and solemn atmosphere filled the mosque as the final verses of the Qur’an were recited.

To conclude the programme, the organisers held a door prize session that brought additional joy to the participants. Happy smiles were seen on the students’ faces as they experienced a unique form of learning—studying religion in an atmosphere that was closer, warmer, and more enjoyable.

Overall, the Quranic Camp provided not only practical knowledge about acts of worship but also a meaningful spiritual experience, strengthened the bonds of brotherhood among students, and instilled the values of togetherness and the blessings of Ramadan.

With the conclusion of this programme, it is hoped that the students will return home with renewed enthusiasm in worship, improved Qur’anic recitation, and a stronger commitment to practising Islamic values in their daily lives.
