On Thursday, 27 November 2025, the Year 8 girls of Al-Siddiq International Junior High School carried out an engaging and educational Science practical activity. Taking place in the Science laboratory at 08.00 WIB, the students created pinhole cameras using cardboard as part of their lesson on the properties of light.
Under the guidance of their Science teacher, Mr Muhammad Fathul Ihsan, M.Res., the students learned the concept that light travels in a straight line. Through constructing a simple pinhole camera, they observed how light entering through a small hole can produce an image on the inner surface of the box.
The pinhole cameras helped the students understand basic optical principles directly—showing how light can form an image when directed through a narrow opening. This activity not only strengthened their conceptual understanding but also made the learning experience more enjoyable and meaningful.
It is hoped that this practical session will foster curiosity and creativity among the students, while also providing them with a hands-on and engaging Science learning experience.
