Fostering Gratitude and Compassion Through the Second Friday Sharing

Al Siddiq International Primary School once again held its Friday Sharing activity for the second time in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This positive school tradition took place on Friday, 3 October 2025, with the aim of instilling the spirit of sharing, social awareness, and gratitude among students.

In this Friday Sharing event, each student brought food from home to share with their classmates and other members of the school community. From early morning, the school atmosphere was lively and filled with joy. The children exchanged food, visited other classes, and shared with teachers and school staff. This moment became a valuable experience in strengthening the sense of togetherness within the school environment.

This simple act of sharing food taught the children the meaning of giving sincerely and spreading happiness without discrimination. For some students, it was also an opportunity to express creativity in preparing their meals and to build confidence in interacting with different members of the school community.

Teachers attentively accompanied the students throughout the activity, ensuring it ran smoothly, safely, and meaningfully. They also reminded the children that sharing is not only about material things, but also about sincerity and empathy towards others.

Through the monthly Friday Sharing programme, Al Siddiq International Primary School strives to nurture students who are generous, noble in character, and have a strong sense of cooperation. This simple yet meaningful activity reflects the school’s continuous effort to cultivate character education values, helping each student grow into a caring, humble, and grateful individual in their daily life.
