Bekasi – November 2023, Every year on 25 November, Indonesia celebrates National Teachers’ Day, and the year 2023 marked the first-ever celebration of this special occasion at Al Siddiq International School. It was a moment of joy and pride for the teachers of Al Siddiq, who reflected on their students’ growth and achievements to date.
To commemorate the occasion, the School Committee organised a celebration on Monday, 27 November 2023. The event, held on the school field, began with a flag-raising ceremony in which all the officers were male teachers. This served as a meaningful example for the students, as their teachers demonstrated their dedication and discipline by taking on ceremonial roles on this special day.
Following the smooth completion of the ceremony, the event was handed over to the School Committee, who presented student performances from the Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary levels as tokens of appreciation to the teachers. The programme included English speeches from each unit and was further enlivened by a musical performance from the students, singing songs dedicated to their beloved teachers.
As the highlight and closing of the event, the Committee symbolically presented a traditional “nasi tumpeng” dish and special gifts to Ustadz Abdullah Haris, the Director of Education. The celebration then continued in each classroom, where students had the opportunity to express their gratitude and celebrate Teachers’ Day together with their teachers.
