Towards the end of the first semester of 2023, the Al Qur’an Department of Al Siddiq International School held its first-ever Tasmi Qur’an activity. The event took place on Friday, 1 December 2023, at the Al Siddiq campus, involving students from Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary levels.
The students who took part in the Tasmi were those who had received certificates for completing the recitation of at least Juz 30 of the Qur’an during the previous semester. Alhamdulillah, the event ran smoothly, and the students participated enthusiastically, listening attentively to one another’s recitations.
This inaugural Tasmi session was also broadcast live via Al Siddiq’s official Instagram account, serving both as a form of religious outreach (syiar) and as a special opportunity for parents to witness their children’s Qur’an recitations in real time.
It is hoped that this first Tasmi Qur’an event will inspire students to continue completing their Qur’an recitations and strengthen their memorisation in the future. [Ed.]
