Classmeeting 2026: A Platform for Developing Pupils’ Talents and Creativity

Following the completion of the Qur’an Examination and remedial learning programme, pupils participated in Classmeeting 2026, held on Wednesday and Thursday, 17–18 June 2026. The event took place at the Al Siddiq International Secondary School sports field and the fourth-floor sports hall, providing pupils with a meaningful opportunity to unwind after their examinations while positively developing their talents, interests, and individual potential. Classmeeting is an annual school tradition held after examinations, designed to encourage the development of pupils’ talents, creativity, sportsmanship, and teamwork while strengthening friendships across different classes. A variety of exciting competitions were organised during the event, including Fortress (Benteng), Gobak Sodor, Badminton, and a Digital Poster Competition. The Fortress and Gobak Sodor competitions, held on the school field, created an energetic and lively atmosphere. Each class demonstrated excellent teamwork, strategic thinking, and determination as they worked together in pursuit of victory. Meanwhile, the Badminton tournament, held in the school’s fourth-floor sports hall, featured highly competitive matches while maintaining the true spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. The participants displayed their best abilities throughout each match, cheered on enthusiastically by their classmates and supporters. Equally impressive was the Digital Poster Competition, which provided pupils with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and digital design skills. The competition produced a wide range of innovative and inspiring artworks, demonstrating that the pupils excel not only in sport but also possess remarkable talent in the fields of art, design, and technology. Classmeeting 2026 served as an ideal opportunity for pupils to refresh their minds after completing the Qur’an Examination and remedial programme. More than simply a series of competitions, the event played an important role in character development by fostering teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship. These values reflect the true purpose of Classmeeting: to provide pupils with opportunities to explore their interests and develop their potential beyond the academic classroom. With the successful conclusion of Classmeeting 2026, it is hoped that all pupils will be inspired to continue developing their abilities in both academic and non-academic fields while strengthening the spirit of friendship, unity, and family within the Al Siddiq International Secondary School community.By Retno Suzanne Handayani, Lc, M.Pd

A Year of Growth: Celebrating Our Pupils’ Learning Journey

On Friday, 19 June 2026, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten held its Semester Two Report Distribution Day. The event took place in each classroom and was attended by the kindergarten pupils together with their parents. The distribution of report cards is one of the most important events at the end of the academic year, as it provides parents with a comprehensive overview of their children’s progress throughout their learning journey at school. The primary purpose of the Semester Two Report Distribution was to present a detailed report on each child’s development over the course of the academic year. The reports covered a wide range of developmental areas, including cognitive development, language skills, motor skills, social and emotional development, religious and moral values, and personal independence. Through these reports, parents were able to gain a holistic understanding of their children’s learning progress, focusing not only on final achievements but also on the continuous growth they had demonstrated throughout the year. In addition to reviewing each child’s overall development, the event held particular significance for the Kindergarten B pupils. Teachers shared detailed evaluations of the children’s readiness to begin their primary school education. These reports helped parents understand their children’s preparedness in terms of academic ability, attitude, independence, and social skills. As a result, parents were better equipped to provide appropriate guidance and support as their children prepared to move on to the next stage of their educational journey. The report distribution sessions were organised in an orderly manner, with parents attending their children’s classrooms according to individual appointment times arranged with the class teachers. This schedule ensured that each meeting could take place in a comfortable, focused, and unhurried environment. Every parent had the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress personally with the teacher. During these meetings, teachers did more than simply hand over the report cards. They provided detailed explanations of each child’s achievements, learning habits, strengths, and the areas that would benefit from further development. Parents and teachers also exchanged valuable observations regarding the children’s progress both at school and at home. This open communication is essential in ensuring that children receive consistent guidance and support in every aspect of their development. The Semester Two Report Distribution at Al Siddiq International Kindergarten reflects the strong partnership between the school and parents in supporting each child’s growth and development. Through this collaborative approach, it is hoped that parents will gain an even deeper understanding of their children’s individual needs and continue to provide positive encouragement and guidance. Effective communication between teachers and parents enables every child’s development to be monitored and supported more effectively. Overall, the Semester Two Report Distribution was much more than the presentation of academic reports; it was also an opportunity for shared reflection on a year filled with meaningful learning experiences and personal growth. Throughout the academic year, the children have embraced many valuable experiences that have contributed to their development. May all pupils of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten continue to grow into confident, independent young learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.By Inka Amalia, S.Pd

Al Siddiq International Secondary School Qur’an Examination: Strengthening Memorisation and Nurturing a Generation of Confident Guardians of the Qur’an

Al Siddiq International Secondary School, June 2026 – Al Siddiq International Secondary School once again conducted its annual Qur’an Examination as part of the school’s flagship programme to nurture a generation that remains closely connected to the Holy Qur’an, with strong, accurate, and high-quality memorisation. The examination was held over two days, Monday, 15 June 2026, and Wednesday, 17 June 2026, following the completion of the End-of-Semester Examinations. The programme began with the Dhuha prayer and a collective session of dhikr in the school’s mosque. All pupils participated solemnly in this spiritual preparation as a means of seeking Allah’s guidance and blessings before undertaking the examination. From the very beginning of the day, the atmosphere was peaceful, focused, and filled with enthusiasm. During the examination, pupils were assessed on the Qur’anic memorisation they had submitted throughout the academic year. The assessment covered several important aspects, including the fluency of memorisation, accuracy of tajwid (rules of Qur’anic recitation), the quality of tahsin (beauty and correctness of recitation), and the pupils’ manners and conduct throughout the examination. Through this comprehensive assessment, the school emphasises not only the quantity of memorisation but also the quality of recitation and the cultivation of Qur’anic character within each pupil. Conducting the Qur’an Examination separately from the academic examinations is one of the school’s strategic approaches to providing pupils with the opportunity to focus entirely on their Qur’anic preparation. With dedicated time allocated specifically for this purpose, pupils are able to revise their memorisation through muraja’ah, refine their recitation, and strengthen the memorisation they have acquired throughout the year. This approach enables them to perform to the best of their ability during the examination. Through this programme, Al Siddiq International Secondary School reaffirms its commitment to making the Holy Qur’an one of the fundamental pillars of its educational philosophy. The Qur’an Examination is far more than an assessment of memorisation; it is a means of nurturing a deep love for the words of Allah, instilling discipline in preserving Qur’anic memorisation, and developing a generation with a strong Islamic identity and values. It is our sincere hope that, through this continuous effort, Al Siddiq International Secondary School will produce graduates who are not only academically accomplished but also deeply connected to the Holy Qur’an, exemplary in character, and committed to applying Qur’anic values in their daily lives.By Retno Suzanne Handayani, Lc, M.Pd

The Footsteps of Pious and Brilliant Achievements at Al Siddiq International Kindergarten

The Academic Graduation and Tahfiz Graduation Ceremony of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten pupils was held on Monday, 1 June 2026, at the Auditorium of Darma Persada University. The event marked a special milestone for all kindergarten pupils, particularly those in Kindergarten B, who had successfully completed their early years of education. It also served as a celebration for pupils who had completed the memorisation of the Holy Qur’an, specifically Juz 30 and Juz 29. The Academic Graduation Ceremony was organised to honour the achievements, learning journey, and personal development of the Kindergarten B pupils throughout their time at Al Siddiq International Kindergarten. More than simply marking the completion of their kindergarten education, the ceremony symbolised the children’s readiness to progress to primary school. Through this occasion, the pupils gained a greater appreciation of achievement, developed confidence in appearing before an audience, and felt proud of the efforts they had made throughout their learning journey. The benefits of the Academic Graduation Ceremony are significant for the Kindergarten B pupils. It provides them with a memorable experience that strengthens their self-confidence and encourages a lifelong enthusiasm for learning. For parents, the event offers an opportunity to witness their children’s growth in independence, social skills, and readiness to embark on the next stage of education. For the school, the ceremony reflects its commitment to supporting each child’s holistic development to the highest standard. Alongside the Academic Graduation, the event also featured the Tahfiz Graduation Ceremony for pupils who had successfully memorised Juz 30 and Juz 29. Six Kindergarten B pupils proudly participated in this special occasion: Reno, Nala, Shofiyyah, Sofia, Ameera, and Raisya. The Tahfiz Graduation aimed to recognise the children’s dedication and perseverance in memorising the Holy Qur’an from an early age. It also sought to nurture a deep love for the Qur’an, encourage children to remain closely connected to the words of Allah, and inspire them to preserve and continue expanding their memorisation. The programme commenced with an opening by the Master of Ceremonies, who guided the event with dignity and order. This was followed by the entrance procession of the graduates into the auditorium. It was a deeply moving and proud moment as the children walked confidently and gracefully before their teachers, parents, and distinguished guests. The ceremony then proceeded with the Academic Graduation. During this procession, the Kindergarten B pupils were presented with graduation medals and certificates in recognition of completing their kindergarten education. Each child was celebrated for the remarkable journey they had undertaken—from learning letters and numbers, building friendships, participating actively in classroom activities, to growing into more independent and confident individuals. Following the Academic Graduation, the Tahfiz Graduation Ceremony took place. Pupils who had successfully completed the memorisation of Juz 30 and Juz 29 received certificates as recognition of their outstanding achievement. The programme also featured a muraja’ah presentation, during which the pupils recited portions of the Qur’an they had memorised. Their performance demonstrated the results of their dedication, discipline, the guidance of their teachers, and the unwavering support of their parents at home. One of the most touching moments of the Tahfiz Graduation was the presentation of crowns to the parents. This meaningful tradition symbolised the invaluable role parents play in accompanying and encouraging their children throughout their Qur’anic memorisation journey. Through this heartfelt ceremony, the children learned that their success was not solely the result of their own efforts, but also the outcome of their parents’ prayers, encouragement, and unconditional love. With the successful completion of both the Academic Graduation and the Tahfiz Graduation Ceremony, it is hoped that the pupils of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten will continue to be inspired to pursue knowledge, embrace new challenges with confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the Holy Qur’an from an early age. Academic Supervision as an Effort to Strengthen Teacher Professionalism at TK Al Siddiq International

Supervision activities at TK Al Siddiq International are carried out as part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality of teaching and learning within the school. This supervision is not merely an evaluative exercise, but rather a process of guidance and professional support for teachers. Through supervision, the school seeks to ensure that the teaching and learning process runs effectively, purposefully, and in alignment with the established vision and standards. The activity takes place in each teacher’s classroom, allowing observations to be conducted directly within the authentic learning environment. In this way, the Headteacher and observers are able to see how teachers manage their classrooms, deliver learning materials, interact with the children, and create a learning atmosphere that is both enjoyable and safe for pupils. The supervision was conducted over four days, from Monday to Thursday, 9–12 February 2026. The supervision schedule had been distributed in advance by the Headteacher to all TK Al Siddiq International teachers. With a clear timetable in place, teachers were able to prepare their lessons properly without making excessive changes to their usual teaching style, as the supervision was designed to observe natural, day-to-day classroom practice. In its implementation, teachers continued to teach as usual in accordance with their prepared lesson plans. The Headteacher, together with the Head of Islamic Affairs of Al Siddiq International, acted as observers in the classroom. They observed the entire learning process, from the opening activities and main lesson to the closing session. The focus of observation included teaching strategies, the use of learning media, time management, and pupils’ responses throughout the activities. The purpose of supervision for teachers is to help enhance their professional and pedagogical competence. Through the feedback provided, teachers are able to identify their strengths to be maintained, as well as areas that require further improvement. For the Headteacher, supervision serves as a means of mapping the overall quality of teaching within the school, ensuring that standards are maintained, and planning more targeted professional development programmes for teachers. After teaching hours concluded, each teacher received an individual evaluation and feedback session. During this stage, the Headteacher and observers delivered their observations constructively and openly. Discussions were conducted in a supportive atmosphere, ensuring that teachers felt valued and motivated to continue developing their skills. Through this supervision activity, it is hoped that the quality of education at TK Al Siddiq International will continue to improve and have a positive impact on the children’s development.By Inka Amalia, S.
