On Tuesday, 10 March 2026, Al Siddiq Kindergarten held a communal iftar (breaking of the fast) event combined with a charity programme for orphaned children. The activity was attended by the students of Al Siddiq Kindergarten along with their parents. The event took place in the kindergarten classrooms in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Through this activity, the school aimed to create a Ramadan moment that was not only enjoyable for the children but also instilled the values of compassion and sharing with others. The communal iftar aimed to strengthen the relationship between students, parents, and the school. In addition, the charity for orphaned children served as a means of nurturing empathy, social awareness, and the spirit of generosity from an early age. The children were encouraged to understand that Ramadan is a special time to share happiness with others, especially with those in need. Through this activity, it was hoped that the children would develop into individuals who are more caring and grateful. On the day of the event, the students of Al Siddiq Kindergarten arrived at school starting at 4.00 p.m. The programme began with an opening by the master of ceremonies, followed by welcoming remarks from the school director and the chairperson of the school committee. Afterwards, the participants received spiritual guidance through a sermon delivered by Ustadz Dzakky. The sermon conveyed messages about the importance of sharing, being grateful, and making the most of the month of Ramadan by performing more acts of kindness. Following the sermon, the programme continued with a recitation of the Qur’an performed by the kindergarten students from classes TK A, TK B1, and TK B2. This performance became one of the proud moments of the event, as the children demonstrated their courage and abilities in front of their parents and guests. The atmosphere grew more solemn and filled with a strong sense of togetherness. Next, the students of Al Siddiq Kindergarten greeted and shook hands with the orphaned children who were present. On this occasion, charity packages consisting of snacks and basic food supplies were also distributed to the orphaned children. This moment became a valuable experience for the students, as they learned to share and show compassion for others in a simple yet meaningful way. As the time for breaking the fast approached, all participants prepared to perform the Maghrib prayer in congregation. After the call to prayer was heard, the iftar began with drinks and dates. Afterwards, all participants enjoyed dinner together. The shared meal further enhanced the warmth of the Ramadan atmosphere within the school community. After the programme concluded, the orphaned children and the parents took their leave to return home. Meanwhile, the students of Al Siddiq Kindergarten continued the evening by staying overnight at the school (mabit). The MHQ Competition and the Quiz Competition were two main activities participated in by the Kindergarten A and Kindergarten B students of Al Siddiq International School. These activities were specially designed for young learners, creating a joyful and energetic atmosphere. Through these two competitions, the children not only learned but also practised building their confidence to perform in front of others. The MHQ Competition was held on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, while the Quiz Competition took place on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. Both events were conducted at Masjid Al Siddiq International. Choosing the mosque as the venue created a solemn yet welcoming atmosphere while also introducing the children to the environment of worship from an early age. In the MHQ Competition, each child recited a surah that they randomly selected from a shuffled set of papers. Afterwards, the competition continued with a verse continuation session in which the judges recited part of a verse and the participants were asked to continue it. This format trained the children’s memory, concentration, and courage to perform individually. The children learned to remain calm, stay focused, and try their best. Meanwhile, the Quiz Competition was conducted in groups, with each team consisting of three to five students. Each team was given five compulsory questions related to Islamic knowledge, such as fasting, the Pillars of Islam, the Pillars of Faith, daily supplications, the names of the Prophets, and other related topics. Each correct answer earned 100 points. After the compulsory questions session, the competition continued with quick-response questions, which made the atmosphere even more lively and exciting. Through this activity, the children learned to work together, discuss ideas, and listen to their friends’ opinions before answering. The aim of the MHQ Competition was to instil a love for the Qur’an from an early age while developing the children’s memorisation skills. This activity also helped build their confidence and encouraged them to become accustomed to speaking in front of an audience. Meanwhile, the Quiz Competition aimed to sharpen the children’s ability to think quickly, strengthen their understanding of the material they had learned, and develop teamwork skills. The benefits of these two competitions are significant for kindergarten children’s development. In addition to improving cognitive skills and memory, the children also learned how to manage nervousness, respect their peers, and accept results with good sportsmanship. The Pildacil (Children’s Islamic Speech) Competition and the Calligraphy Colouring Competition were part of a series of activities participated in by Kindergarten A and Kindergarten B students of Al Siddiq International School. These activities were designed to provide a joyful yet meaningful learning experience for young children. Through these two competitions, the children were encouraged to express themselves, develop their creativity, and build self-confidence from an early age. The Pildacil Competition was held on Thursday, 5 March 2026, at Masjid Al Siddiq International. Meanwhile, the Calligraphy Colouring Competition took place on Friday, 6 March 2026, in each classroom. The use of different venues created a more varied atmosphere for the competitions. In the mosque, the children learned to perform in a more formal and solemn setting, while in the classroom they were able to feel more relaxed and focus on their artwork. During the Pildacil Competition, the master of ceremonies called each child’s name one by one to come forward. Each participant appeared wearing a special costume and bringing props they had prepared. They delivered short speeches based on topics provided by their teachers, including fasting, Tarawih prayer, and Eid al-Fitr. Through this activity, the children learned to speak in front of an audience, recall the material they had prepared, and deliver messages with courage and enthusiasm. In the Calligraphy Colouring Competition, each child received a worksheet featuring Arabic calligraphy with the word “Ramadhan”. The children coloured the design according to their own creativity within the 60 minutes allocated. This activity helped develop patience, accuracy, and fine motor skills. In addition, the children began to recognise and appreciate Arabic letters through a fun and engaging activity. The aim of the Pildacil Competition was to instil Islamic values from an early age while training children to speak confidently in public. They learned to convey messages using simple language that they could easily understand. Meanwhile, the Calligraphy Colouring Competition aimed to develop creativity, imagination, and confidence in their own work. The benefits of these two competitions are significant for the development of kindergarten children. The children not only learned about religious topics but also practised discipline, concentration, and respect for their own efforts as well as those of their friends. On Monday, 2 March 2026, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten held a Ramadan Competition attended by children from TK A and TK B. The event consisted of two competition categories: the Adhan competition and the Wudu (ablution) competition. This activity formed part of the series of Ramadan programmes aimed at instilling the values of worship from an early age in an enjoyable and meaningful way. The Adhan competition was participated in by all the male kindergarten pupils and was held in the Zainab classroom. Each participant was given the opportunity to perform individually, calling the Adhan in front of their classmates and teachers. The Adhan competition consisted of a single performance for each participant. Through this activity, the children were encouraged to be confident, brave in appearing before others, and to become familiar with the correct pronunciation of the Adhan from an early age. Meanwhile, the Wudu competition was attended by all the female kindergarten pupils and took place at Masjid Al Siddiq. Unlike the Adhan competition, the Wudu competition consisted of several rounds, including the preliminary round, semi-final, and final. Each participant was asked to demonstrate the correct sequence of performing Wudu. With multiple rounds in the competition, the children became increasingly motivated to improve their movements and the order of the Wudu steps. The purpose of the Adhan competition was to familiarise the boys with the call to prayer and to nurture their love for the mosque and acts of worship. In addition, the competition helped to develop courage, concentration, and public speaking skills. For the girls, the Wudu competition aimed to help them understand the proper method of purification as an essential part of prayer. The benefits extend beyond practical ability, as the activity also helps to build discipline, attentiveness, and the habit of maintaining personal cleanliness. Overall, this Ramadan Competition was not merely a contest but also a fun and meaningful learning experience for the children of TK A and TK B at Al Siddiq International. With activities taking place both in the mosque and in the Zainab classroom, the children experienced a different and more engaging learning atmosphere. In preparation for the competitions that will be held the following week, Kindergarten A and Kindergarten B students of Al Siddiq International participated in a name tag–making activity on Friday, 27 February 2025. In addition, during the month of Ramadhan, the school also organises daily tausiyah (Islamic talks) as a replacement for snack time. Both activities are designed as part of positive habits that support children’s readiness, both in developing skills and building character. The name tag–making activity was conducted in each classroom. Teachers provided white cardboard as the main material. The children were given the freedom to decorate their name tags according to their creativity, from colouring and drawing to adding simple decorations. After that, they wrote their names on the name tags. For Kindergarten A students, teachers still assisted them in writing their names so that the results would be neater and easier to read. Meanwhile, Kindergarten B students wrote their own names independently, as a way to practise self-reliance and build confidence. This name tag activity aims to train children to develop responsibility and a sense of ownership towards their personal belongings, especially in preparation for the upcoming competitions. By making and decorating their own name tags, the children learn to recognise their identity while also building pride in their work. The activity also helps develop fine motor skills, creativity, and writing abilities according to the developmental stage of each group. During the month of Ramadhan, the tausiyah sessions are held every day after the Duha prayer, replacing the usual snack time. These sessions take place either in the mosque or in the Zainab classroom, depending on the schedule and the conditions of the day. The speakers rotate among all the teachers of Al Siddiq Kindergarten, allowing the children to experience different styles of delivery while still maintaining a warm approach appropriate to their age. The topics vary, including the virtues of fasting, the importance of sharing, proper manners towards parents and teachers, and good habits during the month of Ramadhan. The purpose of the tausiyah activity is to instil Islamic values from an early age in a simple and easily understandable way. By replacing snack time with time for listening to religious guidance, children learn that Ramadhan is a special month that should be filled with more meaningful activities. They are also trained to sit calmly, listen attentively, and respect those who are speaking. Through the activities of making name tags and daily tausiyah sessions, Kindergarten A and Kindergarten B students are not only prepared for the upcoming competitions but are also guided to grow into individuals who are independent, confident, and well-mannered. The learning atmosphere becomes more lively and purposeful.
