Al Siddiq International Primary School once again organised a meaningful programme aimed at strengthening students’ love for the Qur’an through its Qur’anic Camp initiative. The activity took place over three days, beginning on Wednesday, 25 February 2026 on the school premises, followed by an overnight programme from Thursday, 26 February 2026 at 1:00 p.m. until Friday, 27 February 2026 at 6:00 a.m.
The Qur’anic Camp was attended by students from Year 2 to Year 6. Throughout the programme, the students participated in a series of activities designed to enhance their understanding, worship practices, and sense of togetherness in a spiritually enriching atmosphere.
The programme commenced with an opening ceremony, followed by the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, which created a deeply reverent atmosphere. This was followed by a speech from the School Director, who motivated the students to continually love the Qur’an and uphold it as a guide in their daily lives. During the programme, the students also took part in practical wudhu (ablution) sessions aimed at improving and perfecting their purification practices in accordance with Islamic teachings.
During the overnight segment over the final two days, the students engaged in more in-depth activities. They were divided into several halaqah (study circles) to receive character-building sessions, providing them with a deeper understanding of Islamic values and the importance of maintaining noble character.
A strong sense of togetherness was felt as the students performed the evening dhikr, followed by breaking their fast together in a warm and joyful atmosphere. The programme then continued with a fiqh session on fasting, offering insights into the rulings and etiquettes of fasting.
In the evening, the students performed the Tahajjud prayer in congregation, followed by a shared pre-dawn meal (suhoor), further strengthening the bond between students and their mentors. The following morning, the programme concluded with the Fajr prayer in congregation and morning dhikr before the students returned to their respective homes.
Through this Qur’anic Camp, it is hoped that students will not only grow closer to the Qur’an, but also become accustomed to practising their عبادah properly while strengthening their sense of brotherhood. This programme represents one of Al Siddiq International Primary School’s ongoing efforts to nurture a generation that is knowledgeable, of noble character, and deeply devoted to the Qur’an.
