In an effort to instil discipline, responsibility, and environmental awareness, Al Siddiq International Primary School has launched a new programme in Semester 2 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, entitled The Cleanest Class. This initiative is part of the school’s commitment to creating a clean, healthy, and comfortable learning environment for the entire school community. Through this programme, each class is regularly assessed for its level of cleanliness and tidiness. The evaluation is conducted objectively based on several indicators, including floor cleanliness, the arrangement of desks and chairs, waste management, and the organisation of classroom corners. The class that achieves the highest score is awarded The Cleanest Class rotating trophy, presented every two weeks. In the first period of the programme’s implementation, Class 3C successfully earned the title of The Cleanest Class. This achievement was warmly celebrated by all students in the class. It is hoped that this success will motivate other classes to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of their own classrooms. The The Cleanest Class programme focuses not only on physical cleanliness but also on building positive habits and fostering environmental responsibility among students. Through this initiative, it is expected that all students at Al Siddiq International Primary School will become more accustomed to maintaining cleanliness as part of their daily lifestyle.By: Yundara Ulfa Priatna, M.Pd.

Teacher Supervision: An Effort to Enhance Competence and Language- and Qur’an-Based Learning at Al Siddiq Secondary School

In an effort to improve the quality of teaching and strengthen educators’ competencies, Al Siddiq Secondary School conducted a teacher supervision programme from 28th to 30th April. This activity was led directly by the Headteacher, Amaldzikrullah, M.Pd., as part of the school’s commitment to maintaining sustainable educational quality. The supervision was carried out through direct classroom observations during the teaching and learning process. The main focus of this activity was the reinforcement of language-based learning, particularly the use of English and Arabic in classroom instruction, in line with the school’s vision of nurturing a generation that is accomplished, religious, and globally minded. In its implementation, teachers had thoroughly prepared their teaching resources, including teaching modules, lesson plans, annual programmes (Prota), and semester programmes (Promes), as essential instruments supporting effective learning. In addition, the use of relevant teaching aids formed part of the effort to create more engaging and easily understood lessons for students. Well-prepared learning materials are a fundamental requirement in the teaching process, ensuring that lessons are delivered in a structured, purposeful, and systematic manner. With careful planning, learning content can be conveyed more effectively, making it easier for students to understand and master the material. Teachers’ ability to design and implement learning also plays a crucial role in accurately assessing students’ progress. This enables teachers to adopt teaching approaches that suit students’ needs, thereby encouraging the development of high-achieving learners. Beyond observation, the supervision programme also included discussion and reflection sessions between the Headteacher and the teachers. During these sessions, teachers received constructive feedback on teaching strategies, classroom management, and the integration of Islamic values into every lesson delivered. This supervision activity is a routine annual programme aimed at continuously enhancing teachers’ competencies. Through structured guidance, it is expected that teachers will continue to develop and deliver learning that is active, communicative, and meaningful. Through this initiative, Al Siddiq Secondary School further reinforces its commitment to nurturing a Qur’anic generation that excels not only academically but also possesses strong language skills and noble character. What Do We Need When It Rains? Making a 3D Origami Umbrella

An art lesson for TK B (Kindergarten B) at Al Siddiq International was conducted on Wednesday, 29th April 2026 in the classroom. The activity involved all TK B pupils in a calm yet enjoyable atmosphere. The teacher prepared an activity that not only encouraged creativity but also developed essential basic skills for children’s growth. This activity aimed to train children’s concentration in following instructions and to develop fine motor skills through paper-folding tasks. Using origami, the children were guided to create a simple 3D umbrella. The activity was designed to help them focus on each step while improving hand–eye coordination. The lesson began with the teacher inviting the children to recall their previous topic on weather. From the various types of weather they had learned, the discussion was then directed towards rainy weather. The children were encouraged to think together about what is needed when it rains, eventually identifying an umbrella as one of the essential items. After that, the children began making umbrellas using origami paper. They were given the freedom to choose colours according to their preferences, resulting in unique creations. Working in small groups, the children followed the teacher’s step-by-step instructions to fold the origami into 3D umbrella shapes. Once the umbrellas were completed, the children continued the activity by attaching their origami creations onto drawing paper that they had previously prepared with a rainy-day theme. This activity helped them connect their artwork with the concepts they had learned, while also providing space to express their imagination. Through this lesson, the children not only learned to create artwork but also developed patience, the ability to follow instructions, and teamwork skills. The supportive classroom environment boosted their confidence in creating, making the learning process both enjoyable and meaningful.By Inka Amalia, S. Pd
