
Al Siddiq International Primary School organised its participation in the International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest (IKMC) 2026 as part of its efforts to enhance students’ academic quality, particularly in Mathematics. This competition is an international event designed to develop students’ logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
The IKMC 2026 was held on Friday, 17th April 2026, involving students from various year levels. The categories participated in were as follows:
Years 1–2 (Pre-Ecolier)
Years 3–4 (Ecolier)
Years 5–6 (Benjamin)
The competition was conducted using questions in both English and Indonesian, thereby not only strengthening numeracy skills but also supporting the development of students’ bilingual literacy.
Through participation in the IKMC, students gained various benefits, including internationally recognised certificates, opportunities to earn medals and trophies for high-achieving schools, and valuable experience in taking part in a global competition.
The participation of Al Siddiq International Primary School in IKMC 2026 is expected to foster students’ interest and confidence in Mathematics, as well as encourage the development of critical and analytical thinking from an early age. This activity also reflects the school’s commitment to facilitating students’ engagement in international-level competitions and supporting the development of their full potential.
