In an effort to enliven the holy month of Ramadan and strengthen the values of faith and togetherness, Al Siddiq International School organised congregational Tarawih prayers held regularly from 23 February 2026 to 11 March 2026. This programme took place within the school premises and involved all members of the school community, including teachers, students, and parents.
Uniquely, the Tarawih prayers were conducted on a rotating basis each day according to different school levels. This arrangement ensured equal opportunities for all members of the school community to participate actively in congregational worship while fostering closer relationships among them. Each evening, the school mosque was filled with worshippers who attended with enthusiasm and sincerity in performing their عبادah.
The Tarawih prayers were carried out in an orderly and solemn manner, led by appointed imams. After the ‘Isha prayer and before the Tarawih began, the programme featured a short religious talk (kultum), delivered by different ustadz each day. The topics of these talks varied, covering the virtues of Ramadan, the importance of maintaining the quality of worship, as well as the development of good character and Islamic values in daily life.
The inclusion of these short talks added significant value to the programme, as participants not only engaged in ritual worship but also received spiritual enrichment and motivation. Students showed great enthusiasm in attending the sessions, while teachers and parents equally benefited from the shared experience of worship.
This congregational Tarawih programme served not only as a means to improve the quality of worship but also as an opportunity to strengthen Islamic brotherhood within the school environment. The interactions among students, teachers, and parents fostered a warm and harmonious sense of community.
Through this initiative, it is hoped that all participants will grow in their love for worship, increase their devotion to Allah SWT, and carry the positive values gained during Ramadan into their daily lives. Al Siddiq International School remains committed to providing programmes that focus not o
