In commemoration of National Education Day, observed on 2nd May, Al Siddiq Junior High School organised a digital poster competition involving all students. This activity served as a platform for students to express their ideas, perspectives, and creativity in reflecting on the importance of education.
The competition carried the broad theme of education, with the aim of encouraging students to convey their views on the role of education in everyday life. By utilising technology, all entries were created in digital form, aligning with current developments and the characteristics of today’s generation.
During the event, students showed great enthusiasm in participating in the competition. A wide range of visually appealing, colourful, and meaningful poster designs were produced. This demonstrated the high level of creativity among Al Siddiq students, particularly in the field of digital art.
The activity was also inspired by the spirit of Ki Hajar Dewantara, who emphasised that education should develop students’ potential in a holistic manner. Through this competition, students not only learned about educational concepts but also enhanced their creative and innovative thinking skills.
The Head of Al Siddiq Junior High School, Mr Amal Dzikrullah, M.Pd., stated that the activity aimed to stimulate students’ creativity, particularly among Generation Z, who are closely connected to the digital world. “Through this digital poster competition, we aim to provide a space for students to express themselves while making positive use of technology,” he explained.
Furthermore, this activity also served as an enjoyable learning experience, where students could learn while creating. It is hoped that through this initiative, students will be increasingly motivated to continue learning and developing their talents.
With the spirit of National Education Day, Al Siddiq Secondary School remains committed to organising innovative activities that support the development of students’ character and creativity in the digital era.
