SMP Al Siddiq International School continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing positive programmes that support the development of students’ character, mentality, and skills. One of the regular weekly activities conducted is the Friday Dhikr Morning, which takes place every Friday morning in the mosque on the second floor of the school.
The activity is led directly by the Principal, Amaldzikrullah, M.Pd., and is attended by all students with great solemnity and enthusiasm.
The series of activities begins with congregational Dhuha prayer, followed by a collective morning dhikr session aimed at cultivating inner peace, discipline, and strengthening the students’ spirituality before beginning their learning activities.
After the dhikr morning session, the programme continues with student speech presentations held on a rotating basis each week. On this occasion, four student candidates performed, consisting of two male students and two female students. Interestingly, the speeches were delivered in both Arabic and English as part of the school’s effort to develop students’ international language proficiency.
This programme serves as a platform for students to practise the courage to speak in public. Through these activities, students learn to build strong mental resilience and increase their self-confidence, realising that speaking in front of a large audience is not something to fear.
In addition, the programme also functions as a means of developing public speaking skills in both Arabic and English, which will be highly valuable for students in facing future global challenges. Strong communication skills are expected to shape leadership qualities, encourage students to take initiative, and become an important asset in both their educational journey and social life.
Through the Friday Dhikr Morning programme, SMP Al Siddiq International School hopes to continue producing a young generation that excels not only academically, but also possesses good character, strong mentality, excellent communication skills, and leadership qualities that are ready to face the future.
