SMP Al Siddiq International School conducted the Practical Examination (Ujian Praktik/Uprak) for Year 9 students from Monday to Friday, 4–8 May 2026, within the school premises of SMP Al Siddiq International School. This activity formed an important part of the students’ learning evaluation process as a means of assessing their competencies, practical skills, and readiness before completing their secondary school education.
The practical examination did not merely focus on academic theory, but also evaluated students’ ability to apply their knowledge directly through various educational, creative, and practical activities.
A variety of practical tasks were carried out throughout the programme, including prayer practice sessions aimed at strengthening students’ understanding of worship and fostering their spiritual character. In addition, students participated in a creative skills activity by making bags from canvas fabric, which were then decorated using paint or batik motifs based on their own creativity. This activity helped develop students’ creativity, precision, and artistic abilities.
In the field of sports, students undertook swimming practice as part of developing physical ability, self-endurance, and sporting skills. Meanwhile, in science lessons, students carried out simple experiments related to electric currents using batteries and basic electrical circuits to better understand the practical application of science concepts in everyday life.
Throughout the activities, the students demonstrated great enthusiasm and high spirits. They learned to be responsible, independent, disciplined, and confident in completing each practical task assigned by the examiners.
This Practical Examination programme also served as a platform for students to develop creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and life skills that will be highly beneficial in their future lives.
Through the implementation of the Year 9 Practical Examination, SMP Al Siddiq International School hopes to nurture a generation that excels not only academically, but also possesses strong skills, creativity, character, and readiness to face the challenges of the next stage of education.
