Al Siddiq International School

Maintaining the Spirit of Learning through Distance Learning Activities

On Friday, 15 May 2026, the students of TK Al Siddiq International took part in a Distance Learning (Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh/PJJ) programme through Zoom. The activity was still carried out despite the long-weekend period in order to ensure that the children’s learning process continued effectively. Through the PJJ programme, the children were able to continue learning from home without losing the enthusiasm of studying together with their teachers and classmates.

The PJJ session began at 8:00 a.m. From early morning, the children had already prepared themselves at home, accompanied by their parents, to participate in the online learning activities. Although conducted virtually, the learning atmosphere remained enjoyable and interactive. The teachers warmly greeted the children to keep them motivated and enthusiastic throughout the session.

The learning activities began with circle time, during which the children engaged in light conversations with the teacher and their classmates. During this session, the teacher asked about the children’s well-being, invited them to sing together, and created a cheerful learning environment. Afterwards, the programme continued with murojaah of the last three surahs from the students’ memorisation. The children appeared enthusiastic as they revised their memorisation together under the teacher’s guidance through Zoom.

After the murojaah session, the children were given a short break for rest and snack time. The activities then continued with a lesson themed around culture. On this occasion, for example, the TK B1 class guided by their homeroom teacher reviewed a previous lesson by memorising the lyrics of kaulinan songs originating from West Java, namely Oray-Orayan and Cacaburange. The children were introduced to regional culture through traditional songs in a fun and memorable way.

The purpose of this PJJ programme was to ensure that the learning process continued consistently even without face-to-face sessions at school. In addition to maintaining the children’s learning routines, the programme also helped students remain active, disciplined, and enthusiastic about learning. Through the cultural theme, the children were expected to become more familiar with and develop a love for regional culture from an early age.

Although conducted online, the PJJ activities ran smoothly and cheerfully. The children actively participated in every session together with their teachers and classmates. Through this distance learning programme, it is hoped that the relationship between the school, teachers, students, and parents will continue to remain strong in supporting the learning and development of the children of TK Al Siddiq International.
