Spirit, Discipline, and Integrity in the Implementation of the Academic Competency Test at SMP Al Siddiq International

The Academic Competency Test (TKA) for Year 9 students of SMP Al Siddiq International was conducted from Monday to Wednesday, 11–13 May 2026, in the school’s computer laboratory. The activity was carried out in an orderly manner and was marked by great enthusiasm and discipline from all students. The implementation of the TKA became one of the school’s important academic agendas in measuring students’ readiness, competence, and learning achievements before progressing to the next level of education.

Throughout the three-day examination period, all Year 9 students participated in the series of tests with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment. Thorough preparation had been carried out beforehand by both the students and the school, covering academic readiness, technical arrangements, and students’ mental preparedness. The atmosphere in the computer laboratory was conducive and well organised, enabling the entire examination process to run smoothly without significant obstacles.

The purpose of the TKA was to comprehensively assess students’ academic abilities while also evaluating the learning outcomes achieved during their time at junior secondary level. In addition, the test served as a means of developing students’ discipline, honesty, accuracy, and sense of responsibility in facing technology-based examinations. Through this activity, students were expected to strengthen their self-confidence and readiness to face future educational challenges.

The subjects tested in the Academic Competency Test included Bahasa Indonesia, Mathematics, English, and Science. All materials were designed to measure students’ critical thinking skills, conceptual understanding, literacy, numeracy, and analytical abilities in accordance with national educational standards and the demands of 21st-century learning. The computer-based format also helped familiarise students with modern digital evaluation systems.

The activity was directly supervised by the Principal of SMP Al Siddiq International, Mr Amal Dzikrulla, M.Pd, who continuously provided motivation and support to all participants. His presence reflected the school’s strong commitment to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring the successful implementation of the TKA. Technical support was also provided by Arief Firmansyah, S.Kom, as the technician, and Muhammad Fathul Ihsan, M.Res, as the IT technician, both of whom ensured that all computer equipment and systems operated optimally throughout the activity.

Through the implementation of this TKA programme, SMP Al Siddiq International once again demonstrated its commitment to building an excellent academic culture characterised by discipline and a strong orientation towards international educational quality. Although the activity was quite intensive over the three days, all students continued to show high levels of enthusiasm and discipline. It is hoped that this programme will become a valuable experience for students in developing character, academic preparedness, and adaptability to the advancement of modern educational technology.
