Bekasi, 20 October 2026 — SD Al Siddiq International has once again organised its Qur’an Memorisation Recitation and Assessment Programme, with Batch 2 commencing on Tuesday, 20 October 2026. Approximately 26 students are taking part in the programme, having prepared their Qur’an memorisation for recitation and assessment through the tasmi and munaqosyah processes.
The participants are working towards memorising Juz 30, as well as Juz 29 and 30. This programme reflects SD Al Siddiq International’s commitment to nurturing a generation of Muslims who maintain a close connection with the Qur’an, develop strong memorisation skills, and recite its sacred verses accurately and correctly.
Tasmi is the practice of reciting memorised portions of the Qur’an before a listener or assessor to ensure accuracy, fluency, and the proper application of tajwid rules. Meanwhile, munaqosyah is an assessment process designed to evaluate how well students have mastered the verses they have memorised. Through these two activities, students are encouraged not only to increase the amount they memorise but also to maintain the quality and accuracy of their Qur’an recitation.
The implementation of Batch 2 is part of the ongoing Qur’an development programme at SD Al Siddiq International. It is intended to foster students’ love for the Qur’an from an early age while establishing the habit of reading, memorising, understanding, and practising the values it teaches.
For students, participating in tasmi and munaqosyah requires preparation, discipline, dedication, and consistency in maintaining their memorisation. They must engage in regular murajaah (revision and repetition of memorised verses) to ensure that what they have learnt remains firmly established. Consequently, these activities also serve as an opportunity for character development, instilling responsibility, patience, courage, and perseverance.
The participation of approximately 26 students in Batch 2 demonstrates their enthusiasm and determination to improve the quality of their Qur’an memorisation. Support from teachers, parents, and the wider school community also plays an important role in guiding students throughout their learning journey, helping them approach every stage with motivation and confidence.
Through this programme, SD Al Siddiq International hopes to provide students with valuable experiences in maintaining their memorisation while improving the quality of their Qur’an recitation. Beyond the achievement of memorising a certain number of juz (sections of the Qur’an), success is also expected to be reflected in the development of noble character and the practice of Islamic values in everyday life.
As Allah SWT states in Surah Al-Qamar, verse 17:
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
“And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there anyone who will take heed?”
This verse reminds us that the Qur’an is divine guidance that should continually be studied, remembered, and preserved. Through the Tasmi and Munaqosyah Programme, the school strives to create an educational environment that supports the growth of a generation that loves and cherishes the Qur’an.
With the commencement of Batch 2, SD Al Siddiq International hopes that more students will be inspired to strengthen their memorisation, improve their recitation, and make the Qur’an a guiding principle in their lives. May Allah SWT grant all participants ease, fluency, and blessings throughout the process, and may they grow into a knowledgeable Qur’anic generation of noble character that remains close to Allah SWT.
