Bekasi — Another proud achievement has been recorded by a student of SMP Al Siddiq International. This time, Khalid Fadhil Segara, a Year 7 student, secured two third-place titles at the School Water Discovery Challenge (SWDC 1st 2026), a swimming competition held at Halim Swimming Pool, East Jakarta, on Saturday, 10 October 2026.
In the competition, Khalid demonstrated outstanding ability and determination, winning third place in the Boys’ Aquatic 25-Metre Fins Freestyle and third place in the Boys’ Aquatic 25-Metre Breaststroke. Both achievements were in the beginner category for junior secondary school students, which was open to participants from Years 7, 8, and 9.
Khalid’s success in securing two podium finishes in a single competition is certainly an achievement worthy of recognition. Swimming competitions require not only technical skill and speed but also physical endurance, concentration, discipline, and the courage to face challenges and competition.
This achievement also demonstrates how students’ potential can flourish through a balance between academic education and the development of non-academic talents. Through sport, students learn to build resilience, uphold sportsmanship, appreciate the learning process, and develop a healthy competitive spirit.
For SMP Al Siddiq International, Khalid’s accomplishment reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing a generation that excels not only intellectually but also possesses strong character, confidence, and the ability to achieve success in various fields.
This achievement is expected to inspire all students to continue exploring their potential, embrace challenges with courage, and develop their talents in accordance with their individual interests and abilities.
Congratulations to Khalid Fadhil Segara on these two outstanding achievements. May this success be the first step towards even greater accomplishments at regional, national, and international levels.
Keep practising, achieving, and inspiring. Every great success begins with the courage to try and the determination to keep growing.
