Beyond the Classroom: Learning, Growing, Inspiring – Farewell Field Trip of the First Cohort of Al Siddiq International Junior High School to Bandung

Bandung – Al Siddiq International Junior High School once again organised a meaningful and memorable event through the Farewell Field Trip and Thanksgiving Celebration for its First Cohort, attended by Year 9 students. The one-day programme in the city of Bandung served as a special occasion to conclude the students’ educational journey before they move on to the next stage of their academic lives.

Carrying the theme “Beyond the Classroom: Learning, Growing, Inspiring,” the event was designed not only as a recreational activity but also as an opportunity to strengthen brotherhood, build character, and foster gratitude for the learning journey the students had experienced during their three years at Al Siddiq International Junior High School.

The journey began with the students travelling to Bandung. Upon arrival, they visited Braga Street, one of the city’s most iconic areas, renowned for its distinctive historical charm, artistic atmosphere, and classic architecture. Along the famous street, students enjoyed the vibrant surroundings while capturing memorable moments with their friends and accompanying teachers.

The programme then continued with a visit to Dago Dreampark, an educational and recreational destination offering a variety of exciting attractions and activities. The students’ enthusiasm and joy were evident as they participated in the activities with great energy and a strong sense of togetherness.

The participants also enjoyed a group dinner at Tamagoci You Can Eat, which became one of the most enjoyable moments of the day before the evening’s farewell programme began.

As night fell, feelings of happiness and emotion blended together during the Gala Dinner and Year 9 Thanksgiving Celebration. During this special gathering, students and teachers reflected on their experiences and memories throughout their years at Al Siddiq International Junior High School. Expressions of gratitude, appreciation, and hopes for the future were shared in a warm and family-like atmosphere.

As a school that upholds strong Islamic values, the programme was also characterised by courtesy, discipline, and character development. Congregational Dhuhr, Asr, and Maghrib prayers were performed as an integral part of nurturing the students’ religious character, a value that continues to be instilled in their daily lives.

Through this experience, students gained far more than recreational enjoyment. They learned valuable lessons about friendship, gratitude, responsibility, and the importance of maintaining positive relationships with others. These values will serve as essential foundations as they face new challenges in the next stage of their education.

The Farewell Field Trip and Thanksgiving Celebration for the First Cohort provided a beautiful conclusion to the Year 9 students’ journey. The memories, laughter, friendships, and spiritual experiences gained throughout the programme will remain treasured parts of their lives for years to come.

Al Siddiq International Junior High School remains committed to being a welcoming, friendly, and globally minded institution rooted in Islamic values. Through interactive learning experiences and a supportive environment that nurtures students’ holistic development, the school hopes that all graduates of the First Cohort will continue to excel in their future studies while maintaining strong character and noble morals.

Congratulations on embarking on a new journey, our First Cohort. May every step you take lead to a brighter future filled with success, achievement, and blessings.
