The Qur’an certification programme for students of SMP Al Siddiq International School was conducted successfully at LPTQ Bekasi on Wednesday, 13 May 2026. The activity was attended by 17 male and female Year 9 students as part of the school’s programme to strengthen Qur’anic competency and foster students’ Islamic character development. The programme took place in an orderly, solemn, and enthusiastic atmosphere from beginning to end.
This certification programme aimed to strengthen the students’ memorisation abilities while enhancing their tahfizh competency according to national assessment standards. Through this activity, the students were not only tested on their memorisation skills, but were also guided to develop mental readiness and self-confidence in demonstrating the quality of their Qur’anic memorisation. The certification also served as a form of appreciation for the students’ dedication and discipline in preserving their memorisation of the Holy Qur’an.
The Qur’an certification held at LPTQ Bekasi provides significant added value for students, as the certificates awarded are nationally recognised. These certificates may later be used to support applications for further education or as one of the requirements for national scholarship programmes. With this official recognition, the students have become even more motivated to continue improving the quality of their memorisation and Qur’anic abilities.
During the assessment process, participants were evaluated based on several key criteria, namely fluency of memorisation, tahsin, tahfizh, and proper etiquette in reciting and presenting Qur’anic memorisation. The assessment was conducted professionally and objectively, ensuring that the results accurately reflected each participant’s abilities. The students appeared highly enthusiastic and worked hard to deliver their best performance throughout the certification process.
The activity was supervised by Ustadz Khalid, Lc. as the male students’ mentor teacher, and Ustazah Diah, S.Pd. as the female students’ mentor teacher. Their presence provided moral support and encouragement to all participants throughout the certification examinations. The teachers also continued to offer guidance and motivation so that the students remained calm and confident during the assessment process.
Equally important, the group of participants was led directly by the Principal of SMP Al Siddiq International School, Amaldzikrullah, M.Pd.. The presence of the Principal demonstrated the school’s genuine attention and full support towards the development of students’ Qur’anic competencies. This further motivated the students by showing that the school not only focuses on academic excellence, but is also deeply committed to nurturing a Qur’anic generation that is accomplished, well-rounded in character, and prepared to compete in the future.
