Alhamdulillah, as part of the Batch 6 New Student Admissions (PPDB) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, Al Siddiq International School successfully conducted its Psychological Assessment and Observation Programme on Saturday, 20 June 2026. The event took place on the school campus from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon (WIB) and was attended by prospective pupils applying for the Kindergarten and Primary School levels. The psychological assessments and observations were conducted in collaboration with AMNA Psychological Assessment Centre, a professional organisation with extensive experience in providing psychological evaluations for young children and primary-aged pupils. This programme forms an important stage of the admissions process, enabling the school to gain a comprehensive understanding of each applicant’s learning readiness, character, and individual potential. The primary purpose of the assessment was to evaluate each child’s cognitive development, social and emotional skills, communication abilities, and overall readiness to participate in learning at their chosen educational level. The results of the assessment serve not only as part of the admissions process but also as valuable information that helps the school provide educational support tailored to each child’s individual needs and potential. Throughout the programme, participants completed a range of age-appropriate assessment activities. Prospective Kindergarten pupils were primarily observed through play-based activities, communication tasks, and interactions with the psychologists and assessors. Meanwhile, applicants for the Primary School level completed psychological assessments designed to evaluate learning readiness, thinking skills, concentration, and other developmental aspects relevant to primary education. The programme was conducted in a well-organised, comfortable, and supportive environment. The team from the AMNA Psychological Assessment Centre, together with the Al Siddiq International School Admissions Committee, provided warm guidance and encouragement throughout the process, helping each child to participate confidently and comfortably. During the assessments, parents waited in the designated area prepared by the school until all activities had been completed. Through the successful implementation of the Batch 6 Psychological Assessment and Observation Programme, Al Siddiq International School once again demonstrated its commitment to delivering high-quality educational services from the very beginning of the admissions process. The school firmly believes that every child possesses unique strengths and potential, and that careful assessment is an essential first step in understanding each learner’s individual characteristics and educational needs. It is our sincere hope that the entire Batch 6 Admissions Programme will continue to run smoothly and provide the best possible outcomes for all prospective pupils. We look forward to welcoming a new generation of learners who will grow into individuals of excellent character, strong academic ability, and leadership potential, ready to embrace the future as members of the Al Siddiq International School community.By Arief Firmansyah, S.Kom

Refreshing the Kindergarten Classrooms at Al Siddiq International Kindergarten

The classroom refurbishment at Al Siddiq International Kindergarten took place on Thursday and Friday, 25–26 June 2026. The activity was carried out by the kindergarten teachers within their respective classrooms as part of the school’s preparations for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. This initiative represents an important step in creating a learning environment that is tidier, more comfortable, safer, and better suited to the developmental needs of young children. The classroom refurbishment was undertaken in response to the existing classroom layout, where the kindergarten learning spaces feature open roller doors and are separated only by storage lockers. Consequently, a thoughtful reorganisation was required to establish clearer boundaries between classrooms while maintaining an open, orderly, and welcoming environment. With careful planning, each classroom could provide a more conducive setting for learning, playing, and social interaction. The primary objective of this refurbishment was to create a well-organised learning environment that actively supports children’s development. A tidy and structured classroom helps children to concentrate more effectively, understand the different learning areas, and feel secure while participating in school activities. Furthermore, the improved classroom arrangement enables teachers to organise learning activities more efficiently, manage teaching resources effectively, and supervise pupils more comfortably throughout the school day. The benefits of the classroom refurbishment extend to both pupils and teachers. For the children, a well-organised classroom promotes comfort, enthusiasm for learning, and the development of positive habits such as keeping their environment tidy from an early age. For teachers, an organised classroom supports smoother lesson delivery, as learning materials and equipment are stored systematically and can be accessed easily whenever required. The repositioning of the storage lockers as classroom dividers also helps define each learning area while preserving the flexibility and openness of the available space. The refurbishment process began with a comprehensive decluttering session. Teachers carefully sorted through classroom resources, including teaching materials, educational media, toys, stationery, and other classroom equipment. Items that remained in good condition and were still suitable for use were neatly reorganised and stored, while damaged, unused, or unnecessary materials were removed to maximise the available classroom space. Once the sorting process had been completed, the teachers reorganised the classroom layout by repositioning the storage lockers and other furnishings. The lockers were arranged to function not only as storage units but also as practical dividers between classrooms. This arrangement was carefully planned with consideration for the children’s comfort, ease of movement, accessibility, and safety throughout daily learning activities. As a result, the classrooms retained their open atmosphere while providing clearer boundaries between each learning space. The final stage involved arranging all selected materials according to their purpose and function. Teaching resources, stationery, books, educational toys, and other classroom equipment were carefully placed in appropriate locations. Every area of the classroom was organised to create a clean, attractive, and practical learning environment for everyday use. This orderly arrangement also encourages children to develop simple organisational habits, such as returning items to their proper place after use. Through this classroom refurbishment initiative, the teachers of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten have demonstrated their commitment to providing the very best learning environment for every child. A classroom is not merely a place for academic learning; it is also a space where children grow, play, explore, develop independence, and build confidence. With the collaborative efforts of the teaching team, it is hoped that the refreshed classrooms will provide an even more comfortable, organised, and enjoyable environment in which every child can thrive throughout the new academic year.By Inka Amalia, S.Pd

This year’s Strategic Planning Meeting reflected a renewed commitment to continuous improvement through the strengthening of the school’s organisational structure. One of the key initiatives was the appointment of additional staff to support the Vice Principal for Curriculum and the Vice Principal for Student Affairs. These newly established positions are intended to enhance coordination, improve educational services, and ensure the effective implementation of school programmes, enabling the school to achieve its strategic goals more efficiently and effectively. During the meeting, the academic community also identified several priority programmes centred on strengthening Qur’anic education and enhancing academic excellence, which remain the distinctive pillars of Al Siddiq International Secondary School. These two areas are expected to serve as the foundation for nurturing a generation of pupils who are academically accomplished, firmly grounded in Islamic values, and equipped to excel in various fields. In addition, the school reaffirmed its commitment to character education by placing greater emphasis on cultivating a strong culture of discipline throughout the school community. The Student Council (OSIS) will also be empowered to take a more active leadership role in organising and managing school activities. Kindergarten Teachers’ Strategic Planning Meeting in Preparation for the New Academic Year

The Al Siddiq International Kindergarten Teachers’ Strategic Planning Meeting for the 2026/2027 Academic Year was held from Monday to Friday, 22–26 June 2026. The meeting took place in the kindergarten classrooms and was attended by all Al Siddiq International Kindergarten teachers. This annual planning session is one of the school’s most important preparations before the beginning of a new academic year, providing teachers with the opportunity to carefully organise and develop every aspect of the learning programme in accordance with the developmental needs of young children. The primary objective of the meeting was to design the learning programmes, establish developmental indicators, and prepare a comprehensive educational plan for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Throughout the discussions, teachers collaboratively reviewed the developmental needs of the children, identified the learning outcomes they aimed to achieve, and designed age-appropriate activities that reflected the characteristics and abilities of kindergarten pupils. Through careful planning, the school aims to create learning experiences that are enjoyable, meaningful, and supportive of each child’s holistic development. The meeting began with the preparation of the effective school calendar. During this session, teachers determined the official teaching days while taking into account public holidays, school holidays, special events, and other key activities scheduled throughout the academic year. Establishing the school calendar provides a strong foundation for organising the learning programme, ensuring that all activities are well coordinated and implemented according to schedule. Once the academic calendar had been finalised, the meeting continued with the selection of annual learning themes and classroom activities. Teachers discussed the themes that would be introduced throughout the year and developed engaging learning experiences aligned with the children’s developmental indicators. The programme was carefully designed to promote not only cognitive growth but also the development of religious and moral values, social and emotional skills, language development, physical and motor skills, and artistic expression. In addition to preparing the annual learning programme, the teachers also planned two important activities that would take place at the beginning of the new academic year: the School Orientation Programme (MPLS) and the Parent–Teacher Conference (PTC). The School Orientation Programme is designed to help children become familiar with their new school environment, enabling them to feel comfortable, secure, and ready to begin their learning journey. Meanwhile, the Parent–Teacher Conference serves as an important platform for communication between teachers and parents, allowing both parties to discuss each child’s development and establish a strong partnership throughout the academic year. Through this Strategic Planning Meeting, the teachers of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten were able to strengthen their shared vision, develop effective teaching strategies, and clearly define individual roles and responsibilities. Close collaboration among teachers remains essential to ensuring that every planned programme is implemented successfully. With thorough preparation and careful planning, the 2026/2027 Academic Year is expected to provide an active, enjoyable, and enriching learning experience that positively supports the growth and development of every child.By Inka Amalia, S.Pd

A Year of Growth: Celebrating Our Pupils’ Learning Journey

On Friday, 19 June 2026, Al Siddiq International Kindergarten held its Semester Two Report Distribution Day. The event took place in each classroom and was attended by the kindergarten pupils together with their parents. The distribution of report cards is one of the most important events at the end of the academic year, as it provides parents with a comprehensive overview of their children’s progress throughout their learning journey at school. The primary purpose of the Semester Two Report Distribution was to present a detailed report on each child’s development over the course of the academic year. The reports covered a wide range of developmental areas, including cognitive development, language skills, motor skills, social and emotional development, religious and moral values, and personal independence. Through these reports, parents were able to gain a holistic understanding of their children’s learning progress, focusing not only on final achievements but also on the continuous growth they had demonstrated throughout the year. In addition to reviewing each child’s overall development, the event held particular significance for the Kindergarten B pupils. Teachers shared detailed evaluations of the children’s readiness to begin their primary school education. These reports helped parents understand their children’s preparedness in terms of academic ability, attitude, independence, and social skills. As a result, parents were better equipped to provide appropriate guidance and support as their children prepared to move on to the next stage of their educational journey. The report distribution sessions were organised in an orderly manner, with parents attending their children’s classrooms according to individual appointment times arranged with the class teachers. This schedule ensured that each meeting could take place in a comfortable, focused, and unhurried environment. Every parent had the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress personally with the teacher. During these meetings, teachers did more than simply hand over the report cards. They provided detailed explanations of each child’s achievements, learning habits, strengths, and the areas that would benefit from further development. Parents and teachers also exchanged valuable observations regarding the children’s progress both at school and at home. This open communication is essential in ensuring that children receive consistent guidance and support in every aspect of their development. The Semester Two Report Distribution at Al Siddiq International Kindergarten reflects the strong partnership between the school and parents in supporting each child’s growth and development. Through this collaborative approach, it is hoped that parents will gain an even deeper understanding of their children’s individual needs and continue to provide positive encouragement and guidance. Effective communication between teachers and parents enables every child’s development to be monitored and supported more effectively. Overall, the Semester Two Report Distribution was much more than the presentation of academic reports; it was also an opportunity for shared reflection on a year filled with meaningful learning experiences and personal growth. Throughout the academic year, the children have embraced many valuable experiences that have contributed to their development. May all pupils of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten continue to grow into confident, independent young learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.By Inka Amalia, S.Pd

Al Siddiq International Secondary School Qur’an Examination: Strengthening Memorisation and Nurturing a Generation of Confident Guardians of the Qur’an

Al Siddiq International Secondary School, June 2026 – Al Siddiq International Secondary School once again conducted its annual Qur’an Examination as part of the school’s flagship programme to nurture a generation that remains closely connected to the Holy Qur’an, with strong, accurate, and high-quality memorisation. The examination was held over two days, Monday, 15 June 2026, and Wednesday, 17 June 2026, following the completion of the End-of-Semester Examinations. The programme began with the Dhuha prayer and a collective session of dhikr in the school’s mosque. All pupils participated solemnly in this spiritual preparation as a means of seeking Allah’s guidance and blessings before undertaking the examination. From the very beginning of the day, the atmosphere was peaceful, focused, and filled with enthusiasm. During the examination, pupils were assessed on the Qur’anic memorisation they had submitted throughout the academic year. The assessment covered several important aspects, including the fluency of memorisation, accuracy of tajwid (rules of Qur’anic recitation), the quality of tahsin (beauty and correctness of recitation), and the pupils’ manners and conduct throughout the examination. Through this comprehensive assessment, the school emphasises not only the quantity of memorisation but also the quality of recitation and the cultivation of Qur’anic character within each pupil. Conducting the Qur’an Examination separately from the academic examinations is one of the school’s strategic approaches to providing pupils with the opportunity to focus entirely on their Qur’anic preparation. With dedicated time allocated specifically for this purpose, pupils are able to revise their memorisation through muraja’ah, refine their recitation, and strengthen the memorisation they have acquired throughout the year. This approach enables them to perform to the best of their ability during the examination. Through this programme, Al Siddiq International Secondary School reaffirms its commitment to making the Holy Qur’an one of the fundamental pillars of its educational philosophy. The Qur’an Examination is far more than an assessment of memorisation; it is a means of nurturing a deep love for the words of Allah, instilling discipline in preserving Qur’anic memorisation, and developing a generation with a strong Islamic identity and values. It is our sincere hope that, through this continuous effort, Al Siddiq International Secondary School will produce graduates who are not only academically accomplished but also deeply connected to the Holy Qur’an, exemplary in character, and committed to applying Qur’anic values in their daily lives.By Retno Suzanne Handayani, Lc, M.Pd
