The Al Siddiq International Kindergarten Teachers’ Strategic Planning Meeting for the 2026/2027 Academic Year was held from Monday to Friday, 22–26 June 2026. The meeting took place in the kindergarten classrooms and was attended by all Al Siddiq International Kindergarten teachers. This annual planning session is one of the school’s most important preparations before the beginning of a new academic year, providing teachers with the opportunity to carefully organise and develop every aspect of the learning programme in accordance with the developmental needs of young children.
The primary objective of the meeting was to design the learning programmes, establish developmental indicators, and prepare a comprehensive educational plan for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Throughout the discussions, teachers collaboratively reviewed the developmental needs of the children, identified the learning outcomes they aimed to achieve, and designed age-appropriate activities that reflected the characteristics and abilities of kindergarten pupils. Through careful planning, the school aims to create learning experiences that are enjoyable, meaningful, and supportive of each child’s holistic development.
The meeting began with the preparation of the effective school calendar. During this session, teachers determined the official teaching days while taking into account public holidays, school holidays, special events, and other key activities scheduled throughout the academic year. Establishing the school calendar provides a strong foundation for organising the learning programme, ensuring that all activities are well coordinated and implemented according to schedule.
Once the academic calendar had been finalised, the meeting continued with the selection of annual learning themes and classroom activities. Teachers discussed the themes that would be introduced throughout the year and developed engaging learning experiences aligned with the children’s developmental indicators. The programme was carefully designed to promote not only cognitive growth but also the development of religious and moral values, social and emotional skills, language development, physical and motor skills, and artistic expression.
In addition to preparing the annual learning programme, the teachers also planned two important activities that would take place at the beginning of the new academic year: the School Orientation Programme (MPLS) and the Parent–Teacher Conference (PTC). The School Orientation Programme is designed to help children become familiar with their new school environment, enabling them to feel comfortable, secure, and ready to begin their learning journey. Meanwhile, the Parent–Teacher Conference serves as an important platform for communication between teachers and parents, allowing both parties to discuss each child’s development and establish a strong partnership throughout the academic year.
Through this Strategic Planning Meeting, the teachers of Al Siddiq International Kindergarten were able to strengthen their shared vision, develop effective teaching strategies, and clearly define individual roles and responsibilities. Close collaboration among teachers remains essential to ensuring that every planned programme is implemented successfully. With thorough preparation and careful planning, the 2026/2027 Academic Year is expected to provide an active, enjoyable, and enriching learning experience that positively supports the growth and development of every child.
