Classmeeting 2026: A Platform for Developing Pupils’ Talents and Creativity

Following the completion of the Qur’an Examination and remedial learning programme, pupils participated in Classmeeting 2026, held on Wednesday and Thursday, 17–18 June 2026. The event took place at the Al Siddiq International Secondary School sports field and the fourth-floor sports hall, providing pupils with a meaningful opportunity to unwind after their examinations while positively developing their talents, interests, and individual potential.

Classmeeting is an annual school tradition held after examinations, designed to encourage the development of pupils’ talents, creativity, sportsmanship, and teamwork while strengthening friendships across different classes.

A variety of exciting competitions were organised during the event, including Fortress (Benteng), Gobak Sodor, Badminton, and a Digital Poster Competition. The Fortress and Gobak Sodor competitions, held on the school field, created an energetic and lively atmosphere. Each class demonstrated excellent teamwork, strategic thinking, and determination as they worked together in pursuit of victory.

Meanwhile, the Badminton tournament, held in the school’s fourth-floor sports hall, featured highly competitive matches while maintaining the true spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. The participants displayed their best abilities throughout each match, cheered on enthusiastically by their classmates and supporters.

Equally impressive was the Digital Poster Competition, which provided pupils with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and digital design skills. The competition produced a wide range of innovative and inspiring artworks, demonstrating that the pupils excel not only in sport but also possess remarkable talent in the fields of art, design, and technology.

Classmeeting 2026 served as an ideal opportunity for pupils to refresh their minds after completing the Qur’an Examination and remedial programme. More than simply a series of competitions, the event played an important role in character development by fostering teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship. These values reflect the true purpose of Classmeeting: to provide pupils with opportunities to explore their interests and develop their potential beyond the academic classroom.

With the successful conclusion of Classmeeting 2026, it is hoped that all pupils will be inspired to continue developing their abilities in both academic and non-academic fields while strengthening the spirit of friendship, unity, and family within the Al Siddiq International Secondary School community.By Retno Suzanne Handayani, Lc, M.Pd
