Bekasi, 30 October 2026 — SD Al Siddiq International provided its pupils with the opportunity to participate in the 19th International Kangaroo Science Contest (IKSC) 2026, an international-level science competition. The event was organised in collaboration with KPM (Klinik Pendidikan MIPA) and READI Group, and is among the competitions recognised and curated by the National Centre for Achievement (Pusat Prestasi Nasional/Puspresnas).
The competition took place on Friday, 30 October 2026, from 8.00 to 11.00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), at each participant’s respective school. Through this initiative, SD Al Siddiq International aims to provide pupils with opportunities to develop their academic potential, particularly in science, whilst broadening their experience of participating in competitions that challenge their thinking and problem-solving abilities.
The International Kangaroo Science Contest is designed to develop participants’ ability to understand scientific concepts, think logically and apply their knowledge to solve a variety of problems. The competition questions are available in two language options, English and Indonesian, allowing participants to choose the language that best suits their abilities and preferences.
The IKSC 2026 competition is divided into several categories according to educational level. At primary school level, the Pre Ecolier category is intended for pupils in Years 1–2, Ecolier for Years 3–4, and Benjamin for Years 5–6. Meanwhile, the Cadet category is intended for pupils in Years 7–8, whilst the Junior category is for pupils in Years 9–10.
The participation of SD Al Siddiq International pupils in this competition represents one of the school’s efforts to support the development of academic abilities and individual potential. Beyond the pursuit of achievements, the competition also offers valuable experiences that enable pupils to assess their own abilities, develop accuracy, build self-confidence and cultivate the courage to face challenges.
In addition to the competitive experience, IKSC 2026 also offers various forms of recognition for participants and schools. These include trophies for the three best-performing schools at each educational level, awarded to schools that enrol all their pupils, e-certificates, and medals for participants who achieve awards in accordance with the competition’s regulations.
Through participation in the 19th International Kangaroo Science Contest, SD Al Siddiq International hopes to inspire greater interest in science and encourage pupils to develop scientific thinking from an early age. The abilities to observe, analyse, reason and find solutions are essential skills that will equip pupils to face the ongoing developments in science and technology.
The school also hopes that this competition experience will motivate pupils to continue learning, embrace new challenges and persevere when faced with difficulties. With the support of teachers and parents, every learning and competitive opportunity is expected to help nurture a generation that excels in knowledge, upholds Islamic values and is well prepared to face the challenges of the future.
May the participation of SD Al Siddiq International pupils in IKSC 2026 become a meaningful experience and pave the way for many more outstanding achievements in science, both at national and international levels.
